Maybe the only version of Resident Evil 4 I'm not buying ever. lol.
This is stand-alone exclusive, no PC version in sight. Is this only on the Oculus store, or will an uncensored version be on Steam?
Unless you're buying stand-alone games, I don't know why you would buy anything from the oculus store. Steam VR works fine with the rift.
Your Quest wouldn't have been able to play it anyways, as it will only work on Quest 2.I remember growing up watching a great TV show here in Australia called The Movie Show. It was hosted by 2 prominent film critics called David Stratton and Margaret Pomeranz (the ONLY version worth watching was when these 2 hosted the show).
Anyway, there was a film being shown illegally in Australia called Ken Park, and Margaret Pomeranz was there to see the film with many interested film viewers. As it was banned, many there were arrested. All over censorship. This was lefties fighting censorship and allowing people to watch films they wanted, regardless of content.
Flash forward to today and these same lefties (of which I am one) are now out to censor gaming as it is deemed sexist/misogynist?! Where in the fuck have we gone so wrong...?
I for one was so excited at the prospect of playing my fav game of all time in VR. It is the main reason I have held on to my Quest for so long. I am not buying this game in protest. I know these are only minor things but, where does it end? When do we get to take back what we once loved from these fucking people who aren't actually playing games but are trying to shape what we see/play/read/listen to? Enough is enough!
Over RE4 VR.I hate this world, sure it had a ugly side to it before, when you looked deep enough but it was so beautiful at one point..
Now it just ugly and rotten to the core.
Sorry, I have a Quest 2.This is stand-alone exclusive, no PC version in sight.

“Censorship is telling a man he can't have a steak just because a baby can't chew it.”
― Mark Twain
"with the ending losing 30% of the dialogue"
And this is the problem and why it keeps happening.I'm not happy about it, but I'm still buying it.
I remember when age ratings were enough.
But now with an increasing number of adults behaving like children they've needed to go that step further in order to "protect" people.
What a joke.
That means nothing - this is most likely 100% paid for by FB, so Capcom has the right to say yes.And yeah I know this is by FB’s request but the fact Capcom went along with it
I've got so many copies of it so it doesn't really matter, it's just the fact someone was so triggered by it they removed stuff from the game.Over RE4 VR.
Everyone has a price and mine is Resident Evil 4 in VR. This is the situation I am in and I'd rather miss out on a few lines of dialogue than miss out on the VR experience. Yes I am reluctantly supporting the title with my wallet against something I disagree with, but I'm not out here asking for games to be censored. This is the only way to play it in VR so it will have to do.And this is the problem and why it keeps happening.
That’s why I’m doing it out of principle.Gamers 'voting with their wallet' won't mean anything overall. Quest users take the shaft as is, 99% will take what they can get.

Someone should tell Facebook the type of VR videos you can enjoy on the Oculus.Facebook Reportedly Requested Censorship of Sexual Comments in Resident Evil 4 VR
Insider sources have revealed that Facebook have requested the censorship of Resident Evil 4 VR to avoid social justice warriors and game journalists calling it misogynistic.nichegamer.com
sex is bad. violence is okay.
Save a click: Luis' "ballistics" comment, Ashley's "overtime" comment, the "no sex discrimination here" line, Leon's "glasses" link to Hunnigan, and more have been removed because Facebook doesn't want misogynistic or sexual tones.
more like communist censorshipAnd yet, I can literally have my head cut off in graphic detail, with massive sprays of blood and gore flying all over the shop.
This is an incredibly disappointing move. Puritanical Censorship 2021 style.
I think the problem lies wherein you KNOW what type of content you are getting into when you browse ‘those’ type of vr videos. It only takes one or two moms to buy something for there kid like RE VR then find out theres sexual suggestions and get triggered enough to complain about not knowing or expecting something to be there….gaining traction from other people with pitchforks out.Someone should tell Facebook the type of VR videos you can enjoy on the Oculus.
Demolition Man. We’re already there.I can't decide whether the world is heading into an Equilibrium future or Demolition Man one
