For people having trouble with this game against real players, go play the bots on the default difficulty. Get the feeling for not panicking in a shootout and unloading your whole clip when in reality all you need to do is just fire when you're actually going to hit the person. Trust me, this made all the difference in the world for me. You would be stunned how many players empty their entire clip already, and are looking for some desperate melee attempt, meanwhile because I was more accurate and conservative with my clip, a lot of fights end with me having extra bullets to spare and the other guy is a sitting duck.
You unload or empty your entire clip because you get scared of the fact that the other guy is firing in your general direction and may be hitting you, but remember that this is a game where you have a shield up until they can break it down. What I realized was the key to Halo Infinite MP was stop reacting too crazily and swinging the right analog stick wildly just because you engage with someone. Slowly (as difficult as this may be able to process mid gun fight) put your crosshair where it needs to be and you might be shocked at the outcome. Sometimes that's not possible because they already have you in trouble, and if it continues as is you won't win. But most shootouts tend to be ones you have a legit opportunity to win.
Doing things this way, not wasting bullets and being more careful to slowly align my crosshair on my targets, I end up getting more 2, 3 or even 4 back to back kills. This game is going to be fucking heaven in campaign.

Specifically compare to bf, its so refreshing to not have 25% of your shots missed the target for some reason. Oh and look at that, an actual working aim assist.

They were warned and asked to change the levelling system over the betas and didn't do shit to change it. This will hurt player retention.

It would have been stupid to launch single near multi in hindsight if multi is free. After people get a free fix, word is out about the campaign. No hype left.

as someone that deals with GAAS on a regular basis with Apex/Destiny/Fornite.....but is not overly familiar with Halo, i found the battle pass menu unintuitive. It was a little confusing for sure. For as basic as it looks. And leveling up is not clear.

Strange. I have two cards in my computer for hashing. An old 1060 and new 3070 ti. Halo Infinite Multiplayer only sees the 1060.

Just to give an opposing opinion, I don't like Halo Infinite MP, the slower pace just doesn't click with me tbh. Call of Duty is more to my liking and I'm loving Vanguard.

Couldn't play much because I'm still getting over the Rona, but I really liked what I saw. Got to be the gunner in a warthog driven by a guy who was apparently black out drunk. Yep, Halo's back! But seriously, the new SMG fires with authority, and I picked up some new electric weapon, that caused an achievement to pop after I got some kills with it. Definitely looking forward to spending some time with this.

Nvidia control panel, add halo infinite and then set the preferred GPU to the 3070 ti.
I didn't have that problem with this game but ran into it a while back when setting up Oculus link on my PC.

So I spent 36 minutes in a Power Seed game cause it was basically a tug of war.
We won the match and I get measly 100 XP.
How is this acceptable?
I understand they don't want you to sky rocket the levels, but even fortnite gives you way more decent xp and rewards you for your time.
Amazing multiplayer but progression is too slow.

As a Fortnite fan, Halo PvP feels like Serious Sam to me. That being said, games "slow down" a bit once you get used to them.
Is this the fully featured multiplayer right now? Is more coming on Dec 8th?

My first Halo round in like 10 years and I went 6-5 with 11 assists lol. Not a terrible start, I'd say. Going to have to mess with some graphics settings though because Ultra had occasional hiccups on my rig.
Edit: Oh my god I completely forgot I had FFXIV running in the background. No wonder I was having some hiccups lmao

No offense, but this looks like a college grads passion project compared to Vanguard. Progression, graphics, weapon handling, level design. They're not in the same league. Mind you, this is coming from someone who has adored the Halo franchise, but no amount of rose colored tinting can mask the fact that modern FPSs are 15 years ahead of this. That's not to say you wont have fun with it, but more as a nostalgia trip back to when you used to use tunneling software to play bootleg LAN games with your mates on Halo 1.

It won't hurt player retention at all. Halo has never been about challenges and levelling and unlocking things.

DMR all day baby11.30pm, going to go to bed with a big smile on my face. Absolutely loved that. Got ranked Platinum 1, not bad considering I’m learning the maps as I go. Can’t wait to play more tomorrow.

Arbitrary bars? No, these bars unlock new cosmetics things for me and the battle pass. Cosmetics are important to me and I enjoy progressing in seasons.
So not sure how that is arbitrary and progression is part of the fun.
