What are some games you consider flawless (or mostly flawless)

Games that you cannot really find a single worthwhile fault to really complain about, mine are :

- Dead Space 2(best game in the series I feel)
- Warcraft 3

Both of these games I really can't fight any faults that I would complain about or try to argue with.

Cant think of many flawless games, unless you mean for their time. Like are we grading on a graphics/physics/ability curve?

I'd Say Mario 1, 3, World, Yoshi, and 64 have no flaws.

Ocarina of Time would be flawless if it didnt run like garbage, but it's framerate wasnt that bad for its time. Same with Golden Eye and Perfect Dark

Witcher 3... I think there are some pure titles that fall into your category for their focus.. Ground Control, homeworld, age of empires 2, Diablo 2 come to mind..

Completely agree with Warcraft 3 and Mario Galaxy 2.

Would add:

Dead Cells
Wind Waker
Metroid Prime
Lumines

Guacamelee 2
SSX3

My fucking man. And here I didn't think ground control and homeworld fans still existed, haha. Lets hope we get a good Homeworld 3. Some of the same devs from their current company Blackbird on it so we can only hope. They said the merger with Gearbox didn't change anything. *fingers crossed*

Blood
Creepy enemies, innovative weapons, beautiful art style, very good level design, perfect voice acting, outstanding multiplayer.

Duke Nukem 3D
Cool weapons, beautiful art style, very good level design, perfect voice acting, outstanding multiplayer.

Doom 1 + 2
No words needed.

Command & Conquer series, especially Generals
No words needed.

Dungeon Keeper 1 + 2
Addicting gameplay, very good level design, great minions, very fun base management/building + traps and unique POV play for every creature, bitch slapping imps.

Shadow of the Colossus Remake
I don't know what to say, this game gave me a feeling none other game gave me. It's pure art.

Astro Bot Rescue
The only innovative game last gen. I never thought you could reinvent "Super Mario", but this game did it. Even the boss fights were on point.

Hitman (last 3 games)
Best sandbox games out there. I can easily replay one level 50 times and still finde out new stuff

Day of the Tenctacle and Sam and Max
Best adventures i ever played. Superb art style, voice acting, story, locations and characters

There are many games that i like more like Halo or FH, but they all got some flaws.

I know there's every chance this out of the blue question won't work the way i hope but:

How long after your started playing it did it take you to realise the fantastic World in Conflict was a direct descendant of Ground Control?

Not bad for it’s time? It ran at 17fps or 20fps depending if you had a PAL or NTSC console. I sold my N64 shortly after OoT but were more games running that bad on N64? On PS1 most ran at 25 (PAL) or 30fps, maybe some dips and low fps cap in certain scenes like FF7 fight scenes but nothing was capped as low as N64 OoT for the whole game.

I’m gonna go with Super Metroid here. Perfect controls, gameplay, music, progression, map, length and still put up a challenge if you go for a 100% run. Metroid Dread nearly surpassed it but the shine spark puzzles was mostly annoying and the exploration wasn’t as good as in Super.

Ocarina of Time 3DS, I can always go back to it every other year and still feels good to play, Breath of the Wild is a close second (although its sequel has a very strong chance of taking that away from it from what I've seen)

Titanfall

Every weapon was perfectly balanced, every map was perfectly designed for both titan and pilot traversal with neither being at an advantage. The gameplay was just thrill inducing and amazing.

Too bad they fucked it all up with Titanfall 2.

NiGHTS into Dreams. Why?
  • The gameplay/control is absolute perfection with the Saturn's 3d analogue pad. Getting those links chained together can be a zen like experience.
  • Art direction is coherent and imaginative throughout. Balan Wonderworld is also like this by the way.
  • The music is top tier and the fact the soundtrack changes based on your a-life shenanigans is still unique to this day I think?
  • The story is one of my favourite aspects. An incredibly understated story of finding love, with the main thrust being to conquer personal fears.
  • I don't think there's any other games like it? Pretty much nailed its concept on the first go.
  • Systemically changing the amount of good guys (a-life) and evolving them, and having the music change to reflect that, meant replaying levels to get higher scores wasn't just replaying the same old level time and again. Genius (I'm specifically using that word without hyperbole) way of making replayability feel like it wasn't just replaying, but growing your own version of the game.
