MS pulling out of gaming
They didn't use a condom. It's too late now.
MS pulling out of gaming
Would it even be possible for them to buy one of the biggest Japanese companies like that? I thought Japan has regulations and laws that prevent something similar to happen?Either Apple or Disney buys Sony (with all their assets).
Reasons for each?
Apple: would give them direct access to the living room and merge their "apple arcade" service with PS+. On the hardware side, it would directly reduce their iPhone camera sensors price, as well as give them direct access to pro a/v devices. Apple is already a very strong brand within the media producing industry, so it would make sense for them to offer the complete package (hardware + software) in an end to end solution.
Disney: given the amount of money the latest 3 spiderman movies made them AND Sony, it would only make sense to incorporate all of Sony (including Columbia Pictures) to Disney. PS+ could be included with a Disney+ subscription and would give Disney the possibility to deliver users "the complete package" in the living room: PS5 + Disney content.
Both companies (Disney and Apple) have a lot of cash in hand right now and its hurting them more to have them in the bank than using it to actually invest it in something, because of how how the inflation is right now.
Aren’t Minecraft and gta v the best selling?Dont see how anything can be bigger than a $70 billion acquisition of the best selling game of the last 13 years.
That would steal the show D.Bloodborne 60fps patch.
Nope NPD 2021 numbers were released today and they mentioned how COD is the best selling game 13 years in the running.Aren’t Minecraft and gta v the best selling?
They dont need to buy SONY as a whole, they could buy PlayStation seperately (sony would have to be willing to sell it)Would it even be possible for them to buy one of the biggest Japanese companies like that? I thought Japan has regulations and laws that prevent something similar to happen?
Antitrust laws, where? If it's any more multi billion dollar acquisitions, then we're almost certainly staring down the barrel of a monopoly if antitrust laws get circumvented
I think it's GTA V > best selling COD, but with yearly CODs it's COD> GTA V.Nope NPD 2021 numbers were released today and they mentioned how COD is the best selling game 13 years in the running.
The franchise right? Not an individual title and in the us only I’m assuming since NPD is us only?Nope NPD 2021 numbers were released today and they mentioned how COD is the best selling game 13 years in the running.
Take2 just acquired Zynga for $12 billion. They were probably worth $20 billion before this.MS buys Take Two, thats the only news i think is bigger than this.
Apple buying Sony confirmed
Biggest does not always mean best.I mean.. honestly... there isn't much that could be bigger.
MS just bought the biggest company out there.
I do wonder if MS was forced into it because Sony is about to do something big.
Something like Sony buying GTA6 Exclusivity could have forced MS to buy Call of Duty.
Honestly...i wouldn't be surprised anymore, lmao.Apple buying Sony confirmed
Candy's getting brutally crushed in the first 5 minutes of the game.Candy Crush remake by Naughty Dog.
Not possible. An exclusive partnership or something like that would be more realistic.Would it even be possible for them to buy one of the biggest Japanese companies like that? I thought Japan has regulations and laws that prevent something similar to happen?
Valve would be a real good buy, and their valuation is a fraction of Activision's. But they're also a private company and I doubt they would sell. What can possible be bigger? Microsoft buying Valve?
An 80 billion dollar deal could easily top it. Numbers just be like that.It is obviously not an acquisition. Nothing can top 70billion $ deal. May be Microsoft buying Steam but I doubt that is happening yet anyways.

but the source said "bigger", sega is not bigger.Take2 just acquired Zynga for $12 billion. They were probably worth $20 billion before this.
MS had $137 billion cash on hand so they have around half of that left still. But would they spend another $35 billion on another gaming company.
I expect a smaller deal like Sega or something under $10 billion.
