Yeah, I won't hold my breath for this coming to PS5 unfortunately. Rare is MS first party and Nintendo has some kind of licensing hold on the Goldeneye game, so this is likely a joint venture between those two.

you can't remake it. it would quite literally lose its identity if it doesn't play basically exactly the way it does.

this kind of FPS gameplay is what makes GoldenEye, Perfect Dark and Timesplitters 2 so unique.

this isn't a remake, it has basically no elements of the original game, not even the same bond.

this is just a game based on the same movie.

quite similar to Star Wars on NES and Super Star Wars on SNES. Super Star Wars is not a remake of the NES game, it's simply a newer game based on the same movie.

You should download that leaked XBLA build and try it with a 360 pad, updated controls (proper dual analogue aiming) and 60fps feels MUCH better.

Completely remaking a game based on a 1995 movie just isn't gonna happen, it's a product of its time, but a generous lick of paint goes a long way.

Based on that DF long play, it feels like that 360 version was very glitchy, buggy. Hopefully that's all fixed for this release.
