Pro controller incoming as well
Sold my switch, PS5 and Xbox series x.
Feel a little strange as I have been a console gamer most of my life. Hope I don’t regret my move. Any other Gaf user did the move?
Dualsense, Sony exclusives and the hardware it’s self just click with me for casual gaming in the living room as a 40 year old men with 4 kids. Having a break from console only made this more obvious. Still love my PC more but that’s another story
En voilà une surprise !!Absolument mon gars

You dont quit PS5. PS5 quits you.

I went straight from DualSense heavy games to playing Elden Ring, and the lack of DualSense features in Elden Ring made it feel last gen to me. Which I realize it kinda is since it's crossgen. Wish they put more effort into the PS5 version. The DualSense is the best new thing this gen to me.I must say that the controller is the part that surprised me the most, I have been pretty agnostic about controllers since the dualshock came out, anything competent with the two sticks did the job, the 360 and PS4 controllers stood out as great... but that was not that much of a jump for me.
Now, after playing with the PS5 controller everything else feels backward. I have three Xbox One and a Series controller that I use on my PC, I had 360 controller before, etc. they all feel kind of chunky with their haptic feedback compared to the DS5.
The machine itself does the job and is a great leap compared to the PS4, even tho I rock a PC right beside it, it's more powerful, but it does not feel that much more impressive to look at.
You know what's a terrible feeling...The feeling after work when I power down my PC and here dat sweet PS5 beep and see the LEDs.
Pretty much. My PC is not terrible and it can play many modern games, I just don't feel like it most days. Tehnically I could hook it up on the TV, but it's more of a psychological thing in the end. A machine dedicated to gaming automatically relaxes me VS thinking about work just seeing my desktop wallpaper. You know what's a terrible feeling...
Working for 8 hours at your home office along with your $3500 PC sitting there. By the time you finish your job, you feel disgusted sitting at the same desk to play games, so I move to my bedroom to boot up my PS5. lol
Funny, I feel the oppositeI care about my PC less and less. Probably cause most 3rd party devs and ms have been kinda lacking besides games like Elden Ring and probably Callisto Protocol.
My PS5 and Switch get more love than my PC.
I'm not waiting years to play Playstation single player games. That's a no go from the start for me. I've mainly just been using my PC to pay bills. Waiting for MS to have some bangers I'd care about, or EA/Ubi/etc to get their acts together.Funny, I feel the opposite
I loved my PS5, but after getting a decent gaming laptop (R5 5600H + RTX 3060), I care so much less about it
I'm even considering selling it. Every 3rd party game is there (playing better than PS5), there's Dualsense support for many new releases (Plague Tale, recently), 1st party titles are coming eventually, emulators, mods ...
So why bother having a PS5, really? Not to mention better prices on Steam
