Bamco and From both own the rights to Elden Ring, neither company can make another one without the other
Do you have a source for this? That Bandai Namco owns the copyright for publishing further Elden Ring games and not just the 1?
Expecially considering that From Software published Elden Ring in Japan and Bandai Namco was not involved.
All of them should be exclusive.
Elden Ring was a demo for Demon's Souls PS5 (now on PS+, 25% off for Black Friday and you can stack)
Thanks.
Sony should buy From Software. It will really benefit gamers everywhere. It is interesting that the only two Fromsoftware games to end up on a subscription service so far are bloodborne and demon’s souls

Pretty excited, but not because of the particular console exclusivity (I own both, so it doesn't matter), but because it wouldn't be held back by last gen.
Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and Déraciné were first-party games.Exclusivity is lame to be honest! I understand it’s a necessary evil in business at times but I can’t get behind it or cheer it on in any way.
Anyone that does cheer this type of behaviour on is a small minded corpo cheerleader.
Sony wouldn't do that. They have been telling everyone that will listen that they are against deals that take content away from console players.
In all reality if they can they should. I want as much exclusive content on both consoles ad possible.
No game released on either platform that is exclusive will be locked to garbage settings so this is a moot point.Bloodborne is the only game in the Souls series that has to be played locked to garbage settings, so I'd rather they stay multiplatform.

Can’t say that with confidence before the benefit of 10 years of hindsight kicks in. All it takes is one unpatched technical problem. A PC release ensures forward compatibility via the community. No game released on either platform that is exclusive will be locked to garbage settings so this is a moot point.
They only develop games not publish them. They will make a game if Sony fund it with them. They have a long history with PlayStation. It makes sense to make a Bloodborne 2 at least.Nah most likely just likely just exclusive dlc and stuff, don’t think they going back to one platform after the huge success of elden ring
A game with the art direction of From Software and the tech from Bluepoint engine would be wonderful.Being exclusive means little to me if Sony didnt lended them a support studio to work with them on the tech side of things. But would be great to see a FromSoft game polished and taking advantage of the PS5 hardware without framerate issues.
Its a given that a upcoming game will be PS5 exclusive, they have a good relationship with Playstation and have a almost constant multi game deal with them. Now factor in Sony owning so much of both From and Kadokawa and yes its a given there will be PS exclusives coming up. And if you feel upset about it, PS has lost The Elder Scrolls and Fallout so whatever, it is what it is.
Equivalent to "my girl mayyy like some other man in the future, so I need to kill every man in the world."You mean with the current spate of Microsoft love and fanboys suddenly parading their XBOXs around looking forward to Call Of Duty going exclusive one day? I'd say FromSoft being exclusive to PlayStation would probably give more credence to the argument being made that Sony are buying exclusives and therefore Microsoft need to buy Activision.
