Good Lord almighty, I had no idea how awful it was with the English dub. I've played all of them with Japanese, and now I'm super glad I did. This is awful.....

But also his voice doesn't really fit IMO. Kiryu is supposed to have this deep hyper manly voice and after watching his voice acting reel I'm hearing nothing like that.

Just heard the new kiryu voice. I was 100% right to say it’s shit casting. It’s awful. I find it hard to believe they auditioned multiple people and this dude was the best one.

It's basically wish.com Kiryu, when you have such fucking good Japanese voice actors who totally nail the voice work who would put up with such a poor offering in english. Do people really struggle reading subs fast enough to keep up?

Not even some weeb elitist thing, it would be like red dead redemption having japanese voice actors it just doesn't match & totally pulls me right out of the game.

I'm not feeling this at all. It sounds like he's trying too hard to reach a voice/tone but he's not able to naturally so it sounds odd. It would be better if he tone down the dramatics and use his normal voice more.
