This legitimately looks like everything bad about Arkham Knight’s tank infested open-world turned to 100. Metropolis stuck in this constant endgame scenario doesn’t exactly look inviting.

At the very least, tank combat was fun in Arkham Knight, at least to me. Suicide Squad doesn’t look too entertaining right now.

It's a significantly better showing than the last one because they actually went to the trouble of outlining differences between the characters and illustrating mechanics that go beyond 'just strafe everything', but it still looks exactly like the kind of game I don't want at all.

I'm sorry because I'd really would want to find it appealing since I loved the Arkam series, but I like pretty much nothing of what is shown.

The exchanges between the characters seems super dull, the city looks generic and lifeless, the enemies seems even more generic than the city, gameplay probably will be fine when you play it, but shooting looks weightless and the constant jumping here and there looks like something could get old pretty fast. Graphically seems average too, it looks fine just during cutscenes.

This is something have written flop over it since the reveal basically, I just hope Rocksteady can go back to do what they are good at after this one.

Funny how they side stepped the convo about gaas and showed enemies going down in seconds.

Still, having played Gotham Knights which was a rather well made single player game with coop tacked on, i hope this is the same. not going to win gotys but will be a fun game with decent mechanics.

It's not still the Rocksteady game I want, and I will probably skip it. At best, it might be the best possible version of Gotham Knights-like experience. I miss the past couple of generations when AAA games focused on immersion and tried to ground their gameplay mechanics into the world and the narrative., even if the gameplay wasn't exactly realistic. The Arkham games are a perfect example: The UI makes sense for the Batcomputer, the gameplay mechanics are baked into Batman's gadgets.

Nowadays every game has looter shooter RPG mechanics, every playable characters have arcadey super powers and there are colorful effects and lights blinking everywhere.

That bizarre Metal Gear game Konami made with reused assets from MGS 5? That’s a cash grab. Activision turning planned DLC into a $70 release? you can level that accusation at that. But this is an original release and not an asset flip.

We’ve just had one of the best years in gaming with tons of diverse genres and crazy high rated games. And you’re wailing about gaming being ruined because Rocksteady’s made a game you don’t like. Bollocks
