No way will any vita game outsell any of those 3 this week
As for vita v 3ds it maybe closer than I thought but 3ds will still win
Doubtful, maybe Mario 3D Land and again it's been on a steady rise and that kind of game do very very well during the holiday. Mario Kart and MH3G, there's absolutely no way.
Out of the Vita Launch titles the only one I see doing over 100k is MinGol.
Keep in mind that there is quite a lot of different game out for this launch, so sales might be more spread out than for the 3DS launch.

Maybe it is too soon but I'm only expressing an opinion, all 3 of those games I'd expect to sell at least 2 million and the psp monster hunter success is a fluke that I believe is highly unlikely to replicate on vita therefore I'd guess the upper limit for vita games will be that of the next best selling psp games around the 900k mark
I'm sure it will, but according to GAF it wont, I mean just check the predictions, they're ridiculously low for Vita lol.

Sony fulfilled all preorders and then some, it'd be pretty hard for 3DS to beat it in launch week for hardware sales. The software sales and subsequent weeks and months will be where the interesting competition takes place imo

If the Vita shipment really is 700k, I think Vita will manage at least 550k probably over 600k. 3DS will probably do 300k at best.
If 3DS wants to even get close to outdoing the 2005 holiday sales of DS, it needs to do a lot more than 300k for this week.

Drink vodka and coke then, firstly the 700k is still just an if, secondly its unlikely the 3ds will have dropped in the run up to xmas and third now the vita launch has died down its settled on amazon (yes amazon I know but I would assume the trend is the same elsewhere) behind the 3ds as expected by everyone apart from the most deranged Sony fanboy and as such the 3ds will outsell vita for the rest of the year

So we have no firm numbers of how well the Vita or its games performed beyond speculation based on rumored numbers?
We also have speculation based on rumors multiplied by other rumors.

Also Famitsu is only likely to provide the Vita hardware sales, and software sales for the top-selling launch game. The same as what happened when they reported the 3DS launch sales.
Will need to wait until Media Create to get more information. Like I doubt they'll say how much FF13-2 sold, or the 3DS.

I've had a rough past few days on top of stress from finals. Cut me some slack.
I had assumed that MH3G was heavily supply constrained and would have a huge second week. That doesn't seem to be the case, so I decided to backpedal on what i thought it would be before (450k).
At the very least, I think we can all agree that 600k isn't at all possible.

5 out of 29 had Vita over 3DS in the prediction league.

I assume its a rumor, I always refer to it as "reported" or "rumored" but it wouldn't be shocking to me if it was accurate or if the first shipment was around there.

I don't really pay attention to those numbers. My understanding is that they attempt to measure consumer interest in games and hardware using a point system but are only conducted for a single retail chain or something. Do they have a history of being accurate?
Not really, they give a very vague idea of how software perform, but that's pretty much it. You can't really make any accurate prediction out of them.
I think the apparently "low" software sales of the Vita come from the fact that there's quite a lot of them coming at once, and thus sales are more spread out than usual. (I might be wrong though, but I think Vita has a lot more games coming out at launch than other consoles)

I actually have no idea if they are or not. Never heard anyone speak of them, but they do have plenty of them. Plus, now that every single Vita title is available on PSN, and sometimes for a lower price as well...
Hopefully we'll see DD numbers soon.
