Jeez. I've watched all of these fights and before Hendricks, Diaz, and Condit, GSP had practically cleaned out the division.

But honestly, Anderson, Jones and GSP each have at least one or two good title defenses. The problem with Anderson is he's getting old and has two fights left on his contract.

Good card tonight.

If he does NOT fight Anderson.
How will he do against Hendricks?
Will it be a jab fest like it was against Kos?

Silva was licking his lips watching this fight. He would make a ton of money to body GSP.

We got the good GSP back for a couple of rounds, then he took a shot, remembered that he's a slippery coward and boring GSP fully returned.

he was, he wanted GSP to win so fucking bad because he knows that is a massive payday and also an easy fight for him but who knows when GSP gets beat up he always comes back like a monster

George landed AMAZING shots when he was swarming for the takedown.
Hey Georges... just keep swarming. Ditch the takedown.

Jesus. You're better than sitting in half guard.

I noticed that at the end. Condit looked defeated a couple times but George dropped for the easy takedown. I think it's just in his nature to do it.

Btw, that Hendricks/Kampmann knockout was sick.

Are you guys seriously complaining about this fight? That was a brilliant fight. The ground game was very good on both sides.

UFC fans are the worst sometimes.

Great fight. I like it even more that some of you seem to hate GSP so much.

MMA GAF is horrible. Worst GAF by far. Worse than those pony men.

Yeah Fight hendricks and then Silva. I want to see both.

Props to Condit, someone finally gave it all against GSP instead of being ultra defensive.

I never understood this logic.
It's MMA right? He took a solid shot that nearly put him out so he decided to go to his strengths to secure a victory.

They are not MMA fans. MMA fans appreciate some of the most technical wrestling and brazilian jiujitsu you will see in a fight. UFC fans appreciate someone caving in someone's head/chin and consider that ground game a "hump fest" which makes them uncomfortable due to some homophobic insecurities. OK, maybe going too far there.

Please forgive my salty friends. They like to think MMA should be like a real life version of Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em Robots.

Let me bang bro.

No he was showing respect because they have mutual respect.

GSP wins with his wrestling people want him to be full retard flinging his hands around and by chance get matt serra'd on the grill which isn't smart - he knows what to do to get the job done and if people can't stop it then oh well

this was an excellent fight it showed gaps in GSP but who knows he said he was rusty as well

Anderson has an obvious plan. He wants to beat GSP first. When he does that the hype ofr Anderson/Jones will be massive. Jones doesn't draw nearly as well as GSP. A Jones/Silva fight can draw well, but a Jones/Silva fight with Silva coming off a win over GSP will draw crazy. For the first time in the sport we would have a fight that decides who is pound for pound. And if Anderson wins both of those fights he would be the unquestioned GOAT.

Do you enjoy watching the Klitschkos brother jab their opponents to death? I enjoy watching a ground game, when that ground game is used to try to finish someone. GSP doesn't do that. He'd rather sit in guard and grind out decisions because there is less risk in that.

Silva will do it because it would be an easy pay day.

GSP wouldn't do it because he's allergic to risk.

You say that with such confidence but Anderson has had the most trouble with skilled grapplers. I would think he would want to protect his legacy and to fight GSP, a man smaller than him, poses a huge threat to that.

As for GSP being allergic to risk, I think thats a bit harsh. The guy JUST got back and you already want him to fight a guy in a higher weight class?

Like I said I dont blame either fighter if they didnt want this to happen. Seems more a fight for fanboys than anything.

We're on a different planet. Wins by decision aren't a bad thing. It's fucking martial arts.

I'm on the planet that isn't located up GSP's ass. Finishing fights means something. Going for finishes mean something. GSP's performance in those last two rounds was pitiful. He had no interest in trying to finish a beaten and broken Condit, who was flailing around, giving up his back and leaving himself open.

Weidman vs. Silva
co-main Hendricks vs. GSP

DALLAS COWBOYS STADIUM

Not going to happen in that arena with what they charge in tickets (unless it's Canada or the middle east).

That would be a good co main event. And they could decide then. Put it as Anderson's final match. And that would also drum up interest in the middle weight division, as now opportunity would open up for a new star to rise up.

And I don't have a problem with GSP's takedowns/ground'n'pound. It's obviously amazing. I'm more surprised by his opponents. And I don't see anyone in the welterweight division that could stop it.

He'd do it to Nate Diaz (though we'd be entertained while he's doing it). And a Hendrick fight is interesting with his knock outs but after the awhile he's going to tire from the jabs and take downs and look like Koscheck/Shields.
