theoretically you can clear everything with just warriors, it would be tougher in some of the new places since they put more emphasis of certain monsters having a specific weakness to exploit like crabs with magic or the bats with arrows that were in ocean's dawn

Selene + Selene friend = Gone Crabbin'

From my experience, you should build a knight team (you can mix it, but make sure you have bullet sponges) for the continent of sins, the 4th v2 tavern. I didn't have Lilith back then, so maybe Lilith+soldiers would work (my knights did die with Arietta though).

For the 3th tavern's zone (I'm going with taverns since seabreeze is in yggdra and is the first v2 tavern), either soldiers or mages is fine, but knights have a hard time.

Also, you will need a competent archer team to access othis one important quest (prizes feature one op spear for Wayne among other pretty nice shines) in the sin's casino. Don't fret, though, since good archers are featured in the 2nd and 4th v2 taverns exclusively - soul forest's are way outraged by then.

Lastly, mage-only and warrior-mage teams are important, but not as much.

If they really plan to close down the game shouldn't they have tons of prysma sales and loads of festival to loot the whales one last time?

Is there any thought or information that Gumi is pulling the plug on this game? The lack of events, festivals, and news updates is really telling.

Do we knowhow large Gumi is employee wise? Wondering if PotK coming out is leading to less stuff happening in CC due to lack of staff.

This game just feels dead. I still log in daily, to send friends AP as well as for the daily login, but I don't even bother to spend my AP anymore. This game needs something. Anything that's not a Dusty Sale.

I think that even if they had a small staff there could still be a festival. Questions on their Facebook page about the game shutting down go unanswered. I hope it's not true but the game is barren right now.

Yep. This event is sorta nothing. It just makes me long for the weapons swapping stuff to arrive in global so I can use up my weapon arcana

Yeah I've sort of given up on this game too, it just seems like it's there without having anything much left to do :/

It's a shame, oh well might have the anime to look forward to at least, maybe.

I'm hoping Gumi is testing kizuna implementation with respect to pvp, and that it's the cause for all of the recent delays.

Finished side story 5, so almost all of my AP for the day has gone to story 6.

Iam trying to log daily but it seems I havent. Anyways did Deathtail today and well wont do anything else.

Game is dead.

Yikes, I wonder what's actually going on. It's a shame that Gumi isn't able to support this game with new events, it gives a really odd message to the players.

Wonder if they'll recover from this, always figured that the anime adaptation would bring in a lot of players but maybe that'll be too late. Another Brave Frontier collab would be the best but I doubt it will be effective if Chain Chronicle's reputation stays this bad among the players.

Just started a game called Soccer Spirits which is some soccer/RPG/SLG game... the art in CC is still much better but if it remains dead I will probably move on.

Looks like there are some new arcana quest showing up in brreezeway, Vice Capital, Town of Fortitude, Winged heights and Barrierboro. New arcana coming soon?

It's over. CC global shutting down Feb 29 :(

Kicking myself for buying prysma yesterday, at least they are offering some refunds.

ARGH. Man, I really liked the story and characters of CC. Million Arthur's shutdown wasn't so bad, since it was still fairly new. But I'll seriously miss this one, it's been a few years now. Heck, I'd buy and play it on consoles if they'd let me. I know JP has a Vita release...

Really, I wanted kizuna, and the new stuff! I wanted weapons switching! Bleh. Sarabada, Chain Chronicles!

Damn :(

Not "Quoteing" pic, that everyone notices whats going on.

Dammit. Of course it shuts down right when I get back into it. I'm especially sad because JP version doesn't have auto-battle which made it a lot more fun for me (strangely enough). Being able to sit back and have my characters whack away at something with the occasional strategy was nice. I simply can't be assed to micromanage everyone in the JP version, plus I'm so far behind compared to global.

Thanks for all the help at one point or another. An end to a mostly fun era.

Wait, WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!? The closure is real? Damn, I've been saving so much Prysma for nothing, not to mention tickets. Thankfully, all of it was in-game/free, I feel bad for those that spent money. :/

Oh well, one less gatcha game to play, I guess.

Well, it's kinda obvious that it will be closing down considering how inactive they are recently but I have played this game for almost a year so it's still pretty sad. It's also pretty generous for them to offer refund even when they had some minor fuck ups in the past. I remember this was the game I played during one of the worst period of my life and it sure helped in providing some fun diversions.

Well, the dreams over guys. Sucks, but I'm gonna pour one out for my Knights.

You guys were the real MVP. Never let em tell you otherwise.

It's nice knowing all of you here guys. Hopefully we'll see each other on a different game.

Played this game since march last year. This is the only f2p game i played this long. I feel sad and happy at the same time. Sad because i loved this game. Happy because i Finally have a reason to stop playing.

:|

Man this was the first mobage/gatcha game or whatever you want to call it that got me hooked! I liked it's characters, art style, gameplay. I even finally gave Gumi some cash like a month ago! xP

Well damn. I guess I can try to finish the rest of the story now. Thanks for the help and fun times stragizing, everyone.

Only One Piece: Treasure Cruise is left for me on my cellphone. At least there's the anime to look forward to later in the year?

Well, I guess this is it guys. I'm kinda burned out to be honest so I won't start up the JP version. It was fun while it lasted I guess.

I spend a lot of time with this game, I think I started almost a year ago and a lot has happened during that time. Even if Gumi screwed up a bunch of times It was always fun hanging out with you guys and talking about the game.

Hope I'll see everyone here in another place!

I can't bring myself to start over on JPCC, especially since being able to understand the story was the big draw.

Gumi remains incompetent.

Welp, RIP CC.

I guess we saw this coming, you could kinda tell gumi stopped caring at some point when they didn't even fix the ring loop. V2 was probably the last hope for this game to pick up.

I'm kinda glad I dropped this game a few months back already, so the closure didn't really hit me. Still a shame though. I played almost a year too.

Thanks to everyone who helped me as well. Working together provided some great experiences in this game.

However, I'm pretty surprised how long gumi let the game hang out. These days I guess the average lifetime of a mobile game that needs active support can be counted in months?

Despite gumi's constant screwups, I really enjoyed wasting time in this game. The story was amusing enough, the art and characters were both great, and the gameplay sometimes made me work when I wasn't auto-battling :p

I don't think I could bear starting from scratch in JPCC, especially since I can't read Japanese. Thanks to all of the gaffers who added me to their FL when I started playing. Maybe I can bring myself to start a new gacha game, lol.

Any recommendations for a new time waster are definitely welcome. I'm currently playing Chromatic Souls, it's a fun game but I'm afraid that it has around 2k players and is going down faster than CC, lol.

The only thing I'm sure of is that I'm not touching a gumi game again.

I guess every major event see players leaving due to their incompetence.

Anyways I am still in FFRK and just get into Soccer Spirits. I supposed game (with English) that is hosted directly by the JP developer would be a better bet.

Well that sucks. I mean I'm not really surprised considering the way Gumi's handled the game, but it's still unfortunate. This thread's always been great and active despite the game apparently not being terribly popular.

Guess I'll put more time into Fantasy War Tactics and wait for the English release of Granblue Fantasy.

true, but sega were the guys who lent out the rights and usually would make the decisions since CC is their IP. the same sega who did not know what to do with sonic and platinum game btw.

I'm thinking of blowing all of my prysma at the Vice Capital tavern for the chance of having a Level 60 Nimpha before the game closes down :lol

I don't feel so badly about making 20 pulls to get Santa Freya anymore.

Hcoregamer00

The 'H' stands for hentai.
I hate to be *that* person, but Sega should have not licensed Chain Chronicle out to Gumi.

They would have handled it better, and there is more motivation to keep it successful since they own the IP.

What is the chance Sega will take global? About the same as power ball?

Not gonna happen, Gumi shit on the license and ruined its name.

Oh no. I'm truly sad about this. Even though I stopped playing a few weeks ago, this was one of the few games ever that I played so consistently and for so long. This is so unfortunate :(

http://www.playvaliantforce.com/

Maybe this will be good. I don't want to start any existing games. Everything is subpar quality and not worth the time.

Yeah, there's really no games out currently that have caught me. Maybe Granblue when it finally gets an English port. I signed up for valiant force. Seems far away though.
