that patch is tempting me to buy the game again but I think I will hold off a bit longer until we get all the free dlc.

Just double dipped on the PC version after playing 3 playthroughs on XSX. Easter and away from consoles, so laptop only. Love the game, despite its flaws.

I wonder if they fixed the weird "wobble" when you get out of a vehicle. There's always this weird little drop like the "get out the car" animation puts you character just slightly too high in the world so you drop a bit when the animation is over. Happens literally everytime you get out of a vehicle.

Fuck thats a big patch. I hope it will adequately improve the quality of the experience.

However, I am unsure if I want to replay the game already. I managed to finish it despite some bugs and multiple crashes. Enjoyed it a lot (actually, more than any other game), but many issues will be annoying in the second run.

I still hope for some improvements to the game itself.

For example, with the police this patch is just a half measure to make it less visible that they have no AI system in place really. And I don't care that much about the Police AI. but AI for pedestrians should be reworked because it breaks the immersion. AI of the enemies should be worked on as well. And that's what I would like to see in my 2nd playthrough. I think we can forget about (re?) introducing more meaningful choices, instead of illusion of choice. That's the biggest issue IMO, but it is what it is.

And I'm not saying this to diminish their efforts, because this is massive. So thumbs up, just I'm not sure it is what we've been waiting for (on PC). AMD RT is nice though. I expected it take longer.

Biggest thing will be console performance probably.

there are fixes in this patch that address NPC AI. you'd be forgiven for skimming over it as it's a lengthy patch note but there are various listings that affect behaviour.

I really hope that they fix this and make it the game it was meant to be. I have no issue waiting because the last time they rushed instead of doing it right we know what happened.

the Hex edit for AMD cpu's still needs to be applied, boys. Just sayin'.

Didnt CDPR debunked the "hex editor fix"? I know i saw somewhere a reply from them in which they say they "so called fix" doesnt have any impact in the performance.

I just started playing and it just doesn't feel smooth to me, the frame rate fluctuates constantly. I'm using an RTX 3080 with a 10700KF @ 5GHz which has firmly shit on every game I've tried. Looking at the benchmarks it doesn't matter what hardware you have, you're looking at about 75-80FPS average, which doesn't feel great on a high refresh rate display.

Try using the resizable bar function, it made my framerate much smoother and reaction times to mouse input improved greatly. I was honestly surprised.

Cool, just updated the firmware on my 3080 and turned it on the BIOS, hopefully it makes a difference.

EDIT: It definitely made a difference, the game feels smoother for sure.

yeah, but reddit already countered that somewhere, don’t have the exact link at the moment.

so today I literally spent the whole fucking day playing after I quit cause I wanted to wait for the 1.2 patch. Performance seems better. Atmosphere is still through the roof. Graphically the most beautiful game I’ve ever witnessed and the quests/story/world are MILES above other games. Current status of this game: in my top 3 favorite games of all time. Disclaimer: playing at 4K RTX on high end PC.

Did you have to flash a new BIOS on your motherboard too?

Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt Red believes that each update brings the game closer to the return to the PS Store
The Polish company expects that the re-appearance of the game in the PS Store will improve sales also on other platforms.

So there’s a shooting gallery in the gun shop at Kabuki Market waypoint where the NPC’s won’t run away when you shoot.

Just to be sure. At the beginning of Act 2, does it matter which of the three main quests you start to pursue? Or is there some order which is “correct”?

It doesn't really matter, they all converge at certain points. Just go with your flow.

Man, I just want more roleplay/depth to the world/gameplay to jump back in.
Safe to say that's never going to happen. CDPR changed their Twitter bio from RPG to action-adventure for a reason.

This game was never an RPG, you were always V the street kid [life paths are a catastrophic waste of time and resources]. All we can hope for now is some quality of life improvements, but I'm not expecting anything earth shattering.

This game is boring me to death. About 4 hours in and most of it has been talking, driving around and taking elevators.

The characters and dialogue are so bland, hard to believe this is made by the same people who gave us The Witcher.

I know RPGs usually take a while to get good but my god this is off to an awful start. Hopefully I'm just talking too soon.

I would give it a few more hours. It didn't click with me until I was about 8 or so hours in but after that I was cranking out 4-5 hour sessions consistently for a couple weeks

I'll definitely get an RTX PC for this after I finish it on PS4 Pro, I'm also really enjoying the game: the gameplay is aces. I played 70 hours of guns blazing and it's another game with stealth...

Can't wait for the Netrunning build later!

It definitely doesn't feel like a living world. I can't put my finger on it, but it's missing something.

A pulse?

Other than glitches and bugs, there are no random events or any personality or routine attached to any NPC.

It has to be one of the most lifeless and disappointing open worlds in recent history.

Suspension of disbelief is a two way street, expecting the game to do all the heavy lifting will get you nowhere.

Dragon Age did that lifepath thing back in 2009. Its a nice idea but how do you implement it?

In the end you just have to funnel everyone into the same campaign because of budget.

The amount of NPC's sure makes up the absence of AI for me. This is on PC with Crowd density at High though. City Centre is crowded as fuck. Very on par with the crowds from the 48 min demo, if not more.

That is an interesting perspective although not one I subscribe to particularly when the game offers almost nothing in this regard.

I prefer quality over quantity. I’m not against hordes of mindless drivers filling the streets, but an alive city that does not make.

My base PS4 downloaded 1.2 without me knowing. I wanted to play through it on 1.0 just for laughs. It's noticeably better visually but I just don't really have any interest in actually playing the game. Maybe someday.

Patch 1.21 now live. Mostly fixes some quest bugs and mentions memory management improvement.

Went back to this tonight. Game looks much much better than when I left it parked. Just looks crisper and cleaner. Still some weird bugs going on.
