the only thing i hope they remove is mob immunity.
Like those wisp things in act 5 ball for starter, immune to lightning.
Give it a high resistance but not immunity.
They've stated they're not changing any game mechanics.

They also stated they are having a technical alpha and will listen to feedback on issues, this is one area that is truly negative in terms of gameplay I hope they change it.They've stated they're not changing any game mechanics.

We will see how it goes, enough complaints about in in the alpha/beta they might change their mind. I hope they do.Watch the video linked above: they flat out state they're keeping the original mechanics, and only doing QOL (stuff that people did anyway with mods) and visual changes. They're literally running the original game, just with a new renderer on top.

The best Diablo game to this day. Those cutscenes still look good. I can’t wait to see how Andariel looks.
No, but there is no way game releases in 2022. Second half 2023 at the earliest.Did they just kill Diablo 4?
Fuck people that have other things to do than play videogames 24/7, amirite?Ladder Seasons will be reduced in length to increase engagement.
Yeah fuck people that don't need 6 months for a season, amirite? The game looks good but this pisses me off:

Same, even if diablo 2 is the superior game overall.Le sigh. Diablo 1 would be more exciting for me.
Prepare to log into your character within 14 days all the time to not get your character deleted. They've stated they're not changing any game mechanics.
You can also buy an nvidia tegra for that, just sayin.I legit might buy a switch to play this in bed.
Diablo 1 had a mood that just can't be beaten.Same, even if diablo 2 is the superior game overall.
Yep.Diablo 1 had a mood that just canbe beaten.
Yeah, I almost shit myself as a kid when I first encountered the Butcher.Diablo 1 had a mood that just canbe beaten.
Just watched the 45 minute deep dive, looks good. Will never be a fan of block inventories though. Found it interesting how they discussed the balancing of consoles and keyboards. Like on PC, you can teleport wherever you click, but on console they have to auto-port a distance instead. Or the barbarian jump can be directed on PC but on console it's just going to be a leap forward 'x' amount of distance. Things you don't really think about.
That was developed by Blizzard. This one is developed by Vicarious Visions, the people behind the Crash remake and Tony Hawk 1+2, among others.I see everyone forgot warcraft 3
I agree, but still have 0 faith in Blizzard doing anything right at this point. That was developed by Blizzard. This one is developed by Vicarious Visions, the people behind the Crash remake and Tony Hawk 1+2, among others.
They know their shit when it comes to remakes, so I wouldn't be worried.
Haha yeah, Blizzard doing something right seems kinda sci-fy at this point. But man, I want to believeI agree, but still have 0 faith in Blizzard doing anything right at this point.
Yep, normally I'd be very sceptical, but guys at VV have done INCREDIBLE jobs remaking Crash and THPS.That was developed by Blizzard. This one is developed by Vicarious Visions, the people behind the Crash remake and Tony Hawk 1+2, among others.

All news i've seen say you can play mouse or controler on pc so why not both.gifIt actually looks nice....
now the decision is to pick it up for pc or xbox, feels wrong to play it without a mouse
any one know if they added new skills or abilities for the characters
wats QOLSame game, exactly. They're updating the visuals, adding a few QOL changes and making some adjustments to how MP/SP/Ladder/Non-Ladder works.
One of two times I've actually been frightened while playinf a game.Looking great. I hope it plays well on the Switch, would be awesome to play it there.
Probably stupid question, but I guess the crossprogression still means that I'll need to buy the game twice?
Yeah, I almost shit myself as a kid when I first encountered the Butcher.
Gotta ask, which was the other one? Alma? That girl creeped me out.One of two times I've actually been frightened while playinf a game.
they are mandatory on xbox/ps so I wouldn't worryPlease: achievements!
Alma got close, but no. It was Daggerfall. The generic sound of creaky old door will forever be associated with sweaty armpitsGotta ask, which was the other one? Alma? That girl creeped me out.
wats QOL
Let me put it this way: immunities only become a problem in Hell difficulty. The people that will complain about established game mechanics that a child could overcome won't ever reach Hell difficulty in the beta. You know what they will complain about though? The lack of infinite respecs to make up for their poor reading comprehension. The lack of infinite stamina. The slow leveling speed. The Shamans resurrecting the Fallen. You know, basic things that anyone with an attention span and half a brain could cope with. I'm sure there will be a flood of complaints by people used to the way Diablo 3 just hands you everything on a silver platter.
Then, I hope the developers will look at those complaints, and go "Fuck off". Just...diplomatically, obviously.
