I love this guy. Never fails to entertain.
Lol they are buzzing alright. Like a swarm of angry fucking bees.
Scribe on scribe crime is serious stuff dude."Journalism"!! lol
He's a member here. He said he'd try to ignore posters like you, didn't he? Don't recall him saying he'd ignore gaf on the whole.
And yet Microsoft is financially stable and Sony is in very very bad shape.
Wasn't it?
All I see is mass hysteria over something that has neither been announced or confirmed, let alone outlined in any detail.
Anyone that doesn't think MS is making a huge mistake needs to only look at Nintendo and Wii U.
Nintendo were silent on game releases and specs, and when you do so, the public will fill in the missing details with negativity which will last throughout the generation even if te initial reports or rumors were wrong.
Wise up MS, if you treat the gaming media like shit they'll return the favor ala Nintendo style.

How is not announcing it bad management? I thought the 360 was announced in the same timeframe as what is happening now with Durango?
I just don't get this. I mean, you didn't go overboard and say you weren't buying it but this is getting ridiculous. I don't feel they have tarnished anything at this point.
Did Polygon ever report on Sweet Billy?
lol.
They'll announce their shit when they want to. They have a calendar and a plan, and they're not adjusting it for thirsty press or gamers. Deal with it. Are developers working on games? Yes? Then simmer the fuck down with the rhetoric.
Nah, his wording pretty clearly sidesteps denying that the previous reporting was true. Nothing in the 1st paragraph is really disavowed by anything in the second paragraph.
He doesn't explicitly deny it, of course, but the first bolded bit is completely true according to EDGE's prior reporting - yet it's left out of his next paragraph, which describes "the truth" about how awesome Durango will be. It doesn't exactly come off as terribly objective.

lol, shots fired.
Another one from me to him on twitter from last week with the debacle about Sweet Billy (Adam Orth) about a difference between a MMO and a Singleplayer game. This guy i mean,he is such a tool and not very smart to say the least. Because well he knows everything and other people don't. But blocking people does help right? I keep laughing on how he reacts and tries to turn it around.
Right, but everything we're going off of is based on very reliable rumors from a ton of different places. It's not like a random poster came onto GAF months and made all that shit up. That's why everyone is taking these things so seriously, because they're coming from a lot of different sources all saying the same thing.

That is why I dusted off Xbox Jesus. Was locked so fast. That meltdown thread just then was delicious.
the amount of obsession he gets from gaf is even more disturbing
That's a little different. Nintendo had announced a system but with little to go on. They stayed quiet and tried to move along without giving away how weak their lineup and system actually is.
With Microsoft however, the system doesn't technically exist outside of rumor. Yes, I know it does, but Microsoft has not made any sort of formal notion that it does. Right now we are playing a game of Mad Libs with an entire page of blank lines, there is no legitimate (see: straight from Microsoft) proof of anything. So anything that gets rumored at all is tossed up as the indefinite truth and people reply based on that.
I can see being a PR rep/ on the Xbox team for Microsoft could be hell right now as all these rumors sound terrible and you want to jump in and clarify but you can't. Given what has leaked, there is still a huge amount we don't know about the system.
This is not a good answer to the question/problem at hand. Microsoft is currently being run very poorly and all you can do is post a picture in response?
Microsoft needs to create some momentum for this thing and start creating some good press.
I like bloomberg article just posted. Nothing new that I saw in it. But they still made a article.

No, it's not particularly objective, but it is the way he sidesteps any real denial/retraction there. After all, MS will never completely abandon core gamers like he says...that may still mean the vast majority have moved on, but MS will totally still be there for the ones who stay.He doesn't explicitly deny it, of course, but the first bolded bit is completely true according to EDGE's prior reporting - yet it's left out of his next paragraph, which describes "the truth" about how awesome Durango will be. That and Nintendo made mistakes.
Like the lack of additional tablet controllers? The lack of games? They announced so long ago and had nothing to show for it
Unlike Microsoft who will be throwing everything at us...

His opinions don't offend me, guess I gotta examine myself.Given how he blocks and ignores everyone who tries to point out his bullshit, if he's not blocking/ignoring you then you probably have issues that need to be reflected on.

Yup the 360 was announced in May of 05. Some people have short memories it seems.
Be calm, it is coming.
Everyone who likes MS is derided on GAF, think it's just hyperbole? Ask yourself, why doesn't che chou post as much as he used to, or Dennis Dyack, or cliffyb, or pretty much any other person related to ms?
Yet, they aren't and have shown all signs that gaming is not as important this time around as the other functionality that will come with the box.
They are still rumours though, as in not confirmed.
What does always on actually mean in context, how does it actually work, how recent is the information we have etc. are questions that remain unanswered. Details, in a word.
No matter how reliable the source, without details it's nowhere near enough to form an informed opinion and definitely not enough for outrage and hysteria.
