The opposite for me, this time i think it's the last Nintendo console i'm buying. But i already said that for the Wii and the 3DS. But this time i swear it's the last, i'm not going to fall for 2 games again.

All I care about is Xenoblade lol. Basically nothing else.

For XC1 I borrowed my uncles Wii
For XC2 I purchased a new Switch and then gifted it to my then gf for her bday.
For XC3 I purchased a used Switch for £150, completed it and then sold the Switch for £150.

I'll recommend Golf Story every time. Yeah, it's a 2D top-down indie game, but it's one of the exclusive gems for sure.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the closest you'll get to a non-casual Kirby game. It's still a breeze in a lot of ways, but going for 100% is definitely for the more dedicated crowd.

For me too OP. It’s like the goldi locks zone of power and era of gaming for me. A lot of which I missed. My last console was a Wii and I played a bit of PS3 and Xbox One.

I get to go back and play some great PC ports, all the indies and still be able to play Nintendo games.

I just bought Call of Juarez and Dying light for $10.

I’d like to get an OLED version for more portable gaming but I’m usually playing docked on a 1080p monitor.

The only thing I like about the joycons is that you can change them out as a means of repair when the sticks start to drift.

I'm hoping that if they do go with a single device that you dock and remove for portable play that they use chips that boost up much higher than the current Switch does. I don't need native 4K out of it but if they could try for 1440p docked that would be nice. It would also be nice if Nintendo weren't allergic to anti-aliasing.

That's why I'm really glad I have the OG Switch; I can just launch a tool and raise the clock speeds for CPU, GPU and RAM to the original nvidia specs or beyond, and have better performance. The Switch is crazy underclocked because of battery life and heat.

The OLED Switch is a nice looking piece of kit, I have the white joycon version, and it's amazing how much better it looks then the original version, my daughter still has the original console and they seem so different.

Just imagine how much better Switch gaming would be if the specs were better and it had full game library support on launch day from EA, EA Sports, Activision, Rockstar, UBI etc...

Others ?? All first party games released on ps5 have a 60 fps mode... lets wait a litte bit before throwing sony studios together with MS in this 30 fps black hole

It wouldn’t be. This forum is based mostly about talking shit on those very developers and their latest offerings.

The switch wouldn’t be what it is if the battery life sucked.

They struck a hardware that while not very powerful did punch over its weight at 720p and mostly 1080p when docked.

It’s not a fashion show, I use it to play games. It feels good to hold in hands and has loads of input options.

The Switch OLED is a goated handheld with tons of quality exclusives and high quality JRPGs and indies. I only wish it had the a trophy/achievement system like on the other consoles and it would be perfect.

EDIT: We also need and deserve a Xenoblade Chronicles X port so what are you waiting for Nintendo!?

On a more serious note, I understand the OP. The Switch lets me enjoy games that I honestly don't have the strength to play on my couch anymore. There's nothing better than playing Triangle Strategy or Tactics Ogre in your garden on a sunny day. The same goes for Hades: I play a few quick games and then shut down. It's great to be able to pick up a game so quickly. Then there are some games that clearly stand out on the big screen: titles like Zelda.

And playing Ring Fit Adventure reminds me of the good old days when I was doing Power Pad/Family Fun fitness on the Nes.
