I get to a point with NPD sales etc but as usual don't global sales matter more? Also if xbox won one NPD month why does it seem it is such a big victory? If they cna keep it up absolutely then I understand but if it's just Nov and possibly december but this go back with ps4 winning from January on, then whats the point really?

It would be their second, back when the PS4 was supply constrained.

The size of the gap this month would be a secondary consideration to sales sustainability going forward for Xbox One I'd have thought.

Their 2015 schedule is incredibly weak for at least the first half of the year, and if they put the price of the console back up in addition to this then 'winning' November will end up being ultimately meaningless.

Arrogant Sony cost them November. smh

I know you're probably being sarcastic, but you can probably expect this to be the actual narrative for at least the next month.

What would be considered a respectable gap if MS did in fact win Nov. NPD?

Cause this is the monthly NPD thread.

I think it really means more for us, the fans, than the companies who 'wins' each month. But it does give MS some good news to build their sometimes iffy PR out of.

230k would get rid of the gap in sales from last November. That's a good start.

Well, that depends on the perspective. Not sacrificing their 399 US$ price point cost them November for sure. Then again, there is no way in hell MS can go back to 399 US$ after what they did. If they do they will very soon realize that they failed to gain any momentum. And fail to win any other month from this very day on unless they are considerable cheaper than their competitor.
