It's creepy when you recommend it out of nowhere in a thread and are looking forward to characters of the show being in it, and in this case it's tatsumaki, someone who resembles a child and is refered to as a child by one of the main characters
that doesn't make any sense. it's not tatsumaki in the doujin if you think that's creepy, and most of the character are straight up grown adults

I've never read the manga but from what I see she appears to be this show's loli. Am I wrong? Is there more to her than looking young and questionable thigh showing?

He said he thinks episode 3 has tatsumaki in it and went "O_0". That's super creepy to me. Creepier than people wondering if she wears bloomers or panties (which was a thread on the subreddit) Anyways I still disagree with you regardless, if a friend randomly reccommended porn to me out of no where in a conversation and said that one of the future installments would have a character from a series that I like I would think hes being creepy. You might think it's not, but to me it is. Liking porn is fine, but talking about it in public is really weird.
The joke is she takes herself SUPER seriously and Saitama doesn't because she looks like a little girl, even though shes 28. That and her power means nothing to Saitama, which grinds her gears even more.
That and the beef with her sister.

Not a very good joke. She's just another loli waifu people have obviously clinged to. She's nothing more than that no matter how you view her. When they gave her revealing thighs plus cutesy angry attitude that sealed her fate. For a group of people with weird names and all that she's really trope. That's her power.

K. She's also drawn as a young child with child like temper tantrums. She's a loli. It's the same defense for that loli priestess in Gate: she's over a 1000 years old. The fact is they drew a skimpy young girl and no one will see her other than that. She is what she is. Why not draw her as a 28-year-old? You can still have her act like a child, this way it's not totally creepy when people draw fanart of her.
Waifu - From the japanese spelling of the english word "wife". Fictional spouse, implying such a bound to a fictional character that one "married" her. Mostly used for fun and ironically when liking characters. In that context used to mark the character as an archetype to bait people "make" her a waifu.
Loli - physically young girl, usually with some kind of sexualiation

What is the point in having her dress sway up and down? Why not have it lower? Will that ruin the character?
Sometimes it's the extreme concern that a particular character or thing will fuck up the discussion that fucks up the discussion in the first place.

I think because Saitama so brutally outclasses every other character, hero or monster, it's easy to forget how powerful some of them are not relative to him. Some S classers are downright monstrous in their ability, and Tatsumaki in particular is OP. I'd almost consider her and a few others SS Class, as the divide between her and Genos or Puri is extremely wide.

I really don't have a super great reason for it, besides the fact that I loooooooove the pompadour high-school gangster trope, and he even has the little sister he adores, and it's just great.

If you follow Murata's twitter you'll catch him drawing tons of little stuff like that, and recently a bunch of stuff for Metal Bat. He seems to enjoy drawing Bat a lot, which might explain MB having his own little arc right now in the manga. I hope other Heroes get the same treatment. I'd love to see side stories about Flashy/Lightspeed Flash, Zombieman or Child Emperor.
It'll be years and years before we get to see Sheman...

I don't know why the meteor thing bothered me considering Saitama but it just felt like if she can do that she'd be on a separate class with Saitama and probably the S class rank 1 dude. Nobody else on that team really seems to be anywhere near their level.

Same. MB seems like a fusion of Yusuke Urameshi and Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho. I love his design and his personality. It doesn't help that Murata is giving him a lot of attention and ONE is hyping him up a lot with comments like
MB being able to solo Dragon threat levels and the Garou arc ending differently if he were present

Yeah, but isn't that what a jobber is. She shows up in the anime seems super OP and strong by killing off the dinosaur.(I don't even remember this happening in the Manga) But once she fights a real threat, just like everyone else she gets her ass kicked.

I think you're kinda forgetting how stupidly strong Garo was.
Also don't drag Ruri into this shitshow of a discussion. She's one of the only times a 1000 year old loli actually worked and wasn't creepy. She gets the male gaze fan service just like everyone else which you can rightfully dislike but her character and treatment doesn't play into the "say she's old but still acts like she's 12" creepshot that is where people find the uncomfortablility. Which is probably a word.
