is any one else just tired of these different modes in CONSOLES , introduced by the mid gen refreshes and now getting worse this gen , one mode which is optimized for the respective console and thats it , dont turn console gaming into PC gaming.

If it’s just as easy as flipping a switch for developers then I don’t see and issue, but if it takes resources to develop for both specs then it’s dumb.

They're still optimised, you can just choose what you want them to be optimised for now.

I like the option on my console to play the game how I want to play it, I prefer graphical bells and whistles and don't mind 30fps, others love 60fps so why punish one?
