I think they do a system level downsampling from 4K to achieve 1440p. Not sure it is the solution OP wants.

it is exactly what OP wants, he is not asking for new render options but for an option so the output signal it's 1440p. I understand why he wants it since image processing it's shit on most monitors and asking it to do some type of down or upsampling if it supports it, it's more often than not shit. On TV's tho, it matter very little.

Edit: although, since it's an OS level feature, i'm not siding with OP nor signing his petition...i would kindly prefer that the PlayStation OS team would get their asses onto quick resume ASAP.

Are you seriously that out of touch? Very few people want a 4k monitor for gaming, there aren't many GPU's that can push decent frames on 4k. We're years away from that.

...and it's really not about getting a 4K monitor - it's about getting the 4K monitor, that has 120hz and HDMI 2.1. The Eve Spectrum costs around 600 euros, not 250 bucks.. Plus going from a 27" 1440p to a 27" 4K, is not worth it.

27" 1440p = 109PPI
27" 4K = 163PPI

Perfect PPI = 110

I am so disappointed right now. I am debating on switching to series x or at least having to have one.

I play casual games on my 4k tv on my recliner. But when Rust comes out and CoD, BF and so on I want to play at 120fps at 1440p on my monitor and use M&K with a xim apex if consoles don't allow mnk support.

Just like console people making a big fuss about ssd's that I been using to game on for 5+ years. They have no idea what they are talking about or missing.

1440p 120+hz with free or gsync is 100xs better then 4k 60fps.

I've signed just to support your cause! I last time I used a monitor was in 2007. Since then, I use my TV's as monitors and other proposes.

The pressure serves the customers, it's healthy. One good result here after pressure being applied:



More pressure and they'll separate the Remastered and probably charge $10-5 with season pass included or free for season pass owners like me.

I hear you. The problem is, Xbox has just a few games I want to play - PlayStation has a lot.

I'm pretty confident 1440p will come to PS5 very soon. 1400 comments on their faq-page - 99% of them is about 1440p.

Hell, I replaced one of my two monitors with a 32" G-sync 120hz monitor because I wanted 120hz and 1440p. Why 1440? Because I have no interest in a 4K monitor. TV? Sure! Monitor? Nah.
