Joke aside I don't understand all the negativity. People here are quite biased. Of course MS want to be the leader, of course they want, if they can to acquire Nintendo. Sony wouldn't want that if they could afford it ? When they remove Final Fantasy from the opponent system it is fair ? The Silent Hill 2 remake ?

As all of you said MS is a trillionaire company, of course they wanna grow, they wanna be leaders... Sony acquired a lot of developers / publishers too (Insomniac, Bungie, etc) and it was all fine...

This a great example of a clown reply. No Sony have never wanted to aquire Nintendo. When they got shafted by Nintendo they made their own console.
Sony acquired developers which MS have bought plenty of as well. Sony only acquired Psygnosis when they started the business. MS are buying huge publisher's to content starve the competition.
Fair? Sony didn't remove anything. The publishers left Nintendo themselves as they were offered better terms.

If there was anything equally both awesome and terrible it would be this. We would finally get Nintendo games on the latest tech/PC. Mario Kart 4k/120 anyone. However, let's be honest, Microsoft would become almost a monopoly at that point and would likely run Nintendo into the ground eventually.

No you wouldn't. The Nintendo games would lose their charm and the brilliant little touches that only Nintendo know how to do. Time would be wasted on graphics instead of playability and polish.

as much as I do genuinely enjoy playing TotK on the Switch, for me Nintendo has always been extremely over rated.

There are a few gems along the path but I never really felt that magic in any of their games after Ocarina of time, until ToTK came along. That is a very large gap of time to pass between masterpieces.
