Console to console should be opt out, pc should be opt in.

I think apex does this. Default is Xbox v PS but if you have a PC player in your party then matchmaking is extended to pc players too.

Someone playing at 144fps should not be playing against someone whose only got 50fps, which is me, I play on Xbox One at around 50fps and I'm playing in cross-play against PC players who got 144fps. There needs to be an option where it's just console player vs console player, because most console players are only gaming at 60fps.

Auto aim on controller is much more of a problem now than mouse and keyboard or higher framerates.

A lot of pro's are shifting to controller play because of this.

Good sir I believe you are on to something. But maybe not what you think. You have bad frames, lots of PC potato players have bad frames too. What we need is FRAME BASED matchmaking. It's the only thing that would be even remotely fair. There will be many many types of lobbies:

• 200+ fps for the PURE MASTER RACE
• 
• 100-200 fps for DISCOUNT MASTER RACE (suckers who pay like 2-3x console prices for the same performance LMAO can you even?) and TRUE CURRENT GEN CONSOLES (PS5 XSX)
• 
• 45-60 fps for CURRENT SHIT GEN (XSS) and LAST GEN (PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X) and STRUGGLE PCs
• 
• 0-45 fps for LEGACY OF KINECT (Xbox One) and TRUE POTATO PC (guys I can almost hit 60fps in Counterstrike low settings!)

There has been 0 issues console vs pc on warzone, besides cheating and controller auto-aim has some insane advantage. Best PC players wont get dominated but the average PC gamer will get easily rekt by an auto-aim controller. It all balances out. If you're average with the controller tho, then yeah, you'll get destroyed by mouse and keyboard. Basically git gud, cod engine has been shit for ages and its been favored on console so much that higher framerates didnt do shit to pc advantage.

I'd say that any matchmaking should aim at grouping players taking into account their input method, their framerate, their internet connection and also their skills based on k/d and some other measurements. Only if waiting times would get long, everyone should be thrown in one pot, which shouldn't be the case with a current CoD. Even cheating should not be banned at all, just bundle them on their own servers where their "skills" even out, inform no one and let them wonder why everyone is playing equally godlike.

Watch Microsoft absolutely not allow cross-play on CoD between Xbox and Playstation after successfully acquiring ActiBliz (and after banging on and on about cross-play during the previous generation )

Neither Microsoft nor Sony want cross-play until/unless it suits them to say they want it. At least Nintendo was honorable with the Wii U and didn't demand cross-play (for the few multiplat titles) after that console bombed hard.

1: consoles can play 120fps
2: consoles can use mouse and keyboard

in conclusion, your request makes no sense as both high Framerates and mouse input is supported on consoles, making both the PC version and the console versions nearly identical in all the important features that influences competitive advantages and disadvantages.

and just like some people on console only play at 60fps, many low end PC users will most likely play MW2 at even lower quality than consoles as the most used card on PC according to the Steam user survey is still the GTX1060, a card that's less powerful than the GPU of the Xbox One X

Ok so as an EU player crossplay between XBOX and PS is necessary but I still turn that option off because XBOX doesn't always allow you to turn of cross play with PC

And when they do, finding a match here in Europe becomes a chore. Here in Europe the XBOX platform doesn't have as many users as it did pre 2013. And I refuse to game with PC because of the abundance of PC cheats.

I don't care about the framerate advantage, that happens even on PC.

I dislike the cheaters/hackers on PC and of course the mouse aiming is also a notable advantage.

Most of the time turning off crossplay disables it between other brand consoles and PC, not just PC, which is retarded. They should allow console only crossplay as an option.

Maybe developers feel like having 3 crossplay options (console brand only | mixed console brands | all consoles and PC) would be too limiting for matchmaking.

Why stop there? Players using 4K TVs have an advantage as well and can more easily spot other players at a distance at higher resolutions.

The game should only run at 1080p 30fps ( can't be 60fps because the Xbox One can't keep up as OP said).

Do those frames actually make a big difference, though? Like, unless you're at a competitive level, I'd imagine that the difference is negligible. It's kind of like saying that expensive shoes will make you a better basketball player. Or a more expensive instrument will make you a better musician. Or a CRT would make you a better speed runner. I mean, those things all could increase one's performance, but they could also do nothing depending on your skill level.

CoD should adopt Apex Legends crossplay system. It only puts console players in PC lobbies if they have a PC player on their team.

In CoD I just turn crossplay off cause PlayStation (still) has the largest playerbase.

The difference of someone playing with different framerate is way smaller than the difference of playing against with a bad connection/big ping/using wifi. Wifi players shouldn't be allowed to play in competitive modes, or at least to match them only against other wifi players and cable players who have a bad connection/ping.

Regarding FPS, what I'd do is to cap the competitive game modes in all platforms to 60fps (which is the most commonly used). To don't allow PC players to play competitive unless they have steady 60fps and to ensure console versions have steady 60fps.

Then they should implement heavy and strict anti cheat system with permanent bans for the whole account and device to ensure that player doesn't cheat again user other accounts or devices in this or other games.
