I mean there's no way you go through this story and disagree with this.

Try to play the game if you can, or read more about the story/lore and you'll also see why mentioning tribes traditions (there are countless tribes in these games, all with their own make-up traditions) in this case makes no sense at all, as to her all tribes and their customs are the equivalent of Matrix delusions.
