760 is about to become outdated soon.

I don't know much about desktop GPU buying tips but if it was a laptop I'd say wait for a 960 to come out.

looks like a mid end PC alright, I jsut dislike the GPu for that price. GPU is not someplace where you sould be skimping IMO.

Downgrade the GPU? Really? The gtx 760 is decent, but far from top of the line. He shouldn't go down even more.

For a GPU, R9 285 seems like a decent choice at a similar price.

Buying/building a new computer today without an SSD is borderline inexcusable.

Cut back somewhere else to include even just an 80GB SSD boot drive at least.
