Nope. Looks like true 480p and 1080i, but no 720p.

I don't know much about HDTVs, but I think you can get Sony widescreen CRT HDTVs for $999 at about 30" that'll do 720p/480p/1080i.

is 720p important? there really aren't too many games that will utilize it but I'm worried

about next generation of consoles and dvd players.

I'm pretty sure 720 p is the future of HDTV. That and 1080i.

That TV probably does only 800x480. meaning you'll be missing 26 pixels to the left and right of the screen (so it's not true 16:9).

The only CRT based 16:9 480p sets are those Sony Wegas IIRC.
