I don't know why, but I've always wanted to go to an event and tell whoever I play with that I've never played before.

Then proceed to destroy them with advanced combos and mixups/crossups/etc while acting like I'm just button mashing.

I remember rolling up in a wheel chair *got one loaned to me* to a small GG tournament and everyone had arcade sticks too. Everyone was whispering and chuckling behind my back and to my sides about the whole wheel chair thing and me playing on pad.

I got 3rd place, had the most hype cheering and the guy who won destroyed the guy who got second while mine and his match was down to the last round and pixel :D

Fuck single elem, but I got invited to a party after :D

It's all about the satisfaction of betraying those expectations they have for you.

EDIT: I guess mine's a little different though since it would be based in deception rather than prejudice.

Death threats online are funny but I imagine it's a somewhat different story in person.

EDIT: Before someone takes that the wrong way I mean when you beat someone online and they send you an angry message. I take those as a compliment more than anything else.

is this still about injustice being at 9am? or because divekick and some other random game got streamed over another title? neither of which is actually a big deal?

KOF gets the short end of the stick all the time, right next to P4A and Tekken. Hopefully this year at EVO Blazblue and KOF have hype top 8's.

Just chiming in to point out Dark Natas and other dudes from the MK community celebrating the demise of UFGT announcement do not speak for all of us lol. I had my issues with last year and I did accidentally start twitter drama by complaining about the lack of a MK trophy, something I regret and didn't think would blow up so bad, but ultimately UFGT has been waaaay more positive for the MK scene than negative.

the worst thing about ehubs articles is the bizarre writing style; especially Catalyst. not sure if English isn't his first language or he just didn't read much growing up or something, but he turns some weird ass phrases man. it's always bugged me.

I know they don't. If I thought they did, I wouldn't be hosting those games anymore. I'm not going to let the rotten few ruin it for everyone.

Just remember that I'm pretty easy to communicate with and all issues can be solved that way so long as I'm spoken to about concerns in advance (instead of during the event). I want to help and I want everyone to be happy. (I want to hear concerns at the event too, just realize that my ability to solve problems is diminished once everything is in motion)

Give me the bracket entrant information and yes, I can do it. If you have it in a spreadsheet somewhere or it's in a bracket online let me know and I'll pull the data in and slice it up.

EDIT: I'm looking at the Apex 2014 pools; the names are there, but without any other information attached to the names, you can't cut the data up much (only thing you can really cut up by is by what games people are registered for).

IIRC there were players who felt they were entitled to preferential seeding and talked smack and/or boycotted the event. Seems like there's a lot more to it then that.

Sad it'll be the last one, the mahvel draft and mystery game tournament is hype. And I liked the panels that were on last year.
