Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is coming to PS3 on December 17th, and you read that correctly.

¥ 3.240+taxes, do digital games usually get taxes? Article shows no box but I don't think it says it's digital only either.

They also mention that the game is the all time best selling game on the PS2 and that all versions have sold over 34m units, pretty sure that includes Xbox and PC though.

Doesn't seem as it's PS2 Classics rerelease, article says it'll be at a 720p resolution with better draw distance and lighting.

¥ 3.240+taxes, do digital games usually get taxes? Article shows no box but I don't think it says it's digital only either.

They also mention that the game is the all time best selling game on the PS2 and that all versions have sold over 34m units, pretty sure that includes Xbox and PC though.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaat

I know they quietly released a boxed version in North America on 360... so weird. Why not throw in Vice City and GTA III, too? Hell, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories could get some love, too. This has PSN/XBLA release written all over it, not a boxed release.

A remaster of a 2004 PS2 game... on PS3... in 2015.

I've got to ask... why? Wouldn't this work better to release on PS4? Also is this Japanese exclusive? Or does this exist in some digital form for the rest of the world?

I think I saw a North American box art yesterday. It's based off the 360 version that came out last year I think and I think that was based on the IOS version.

Oh cool to see it's getting a retail release. Although kind of surprised that happened in Japan but not anywhere else.

To be fair, I think hiska was only listing larger releases. For example I believe Lego Jurassic World is missing for that reason?

I don't think he's listing every single game that's coming out, just the ones that'll make some dent in the charts (although even some of these are questionable). There's plenty of other niche stuff he's missed off.

I only list medium or big releases.
Exceptions are "famous games" like Sword Art Online port, for example.

According to Rakuten it was the best selling, so do you think this game was overshipped, Hiska? Or it is expected to sell in Christmas?

The blog says that it won't be any problem to sell the full shipment this Christmas season.
The first entry shipped more than 200k first week.

So there weren't any more specific than that about %s (like which SKUs were closer to 30 vs. 10)? Based on previous sales of Lego games, I'd assume 3DS & Wii U sell better than PS3 & PS4, but obviously a lot depends on shipping amounts.

Since Black Ops 2 was able to reach 600k on PS3 i'm wondering if Black Ops 3 could do half of that on PS4 considering its 150k launch week it will probably have

Well, maybe it's not that accurate but on Rakuten the order regarding sales was 3DS>PS3=PS4>>>WiiU, so maybe it could be a little bit clear with this.

I'm shocked to see Halo in the top 20, I wonder if ROTR will make it??

And I wonder if Splatoon will be enough to save the WiiU this Xmas??

I saw it in my contry's retailer pre order section, so my guess is that it will pop up globally soon. Btw eastern Europe, we are tied to the UK market as far as releases go.

Square Enix's FY2015 Q2 Results are out.

The Square Enix group (the “Group”) is continuing determined efforts to strengthen the competitiveness and
profitability of its business segments of Digital Entertainment, Amusement, Publication and Merchandising.
Net sales for the six-month period ended September 30, 2015 totaled ¥86,360 million (an increase of 18.1% from the
same period of the prior fiscal year), operating income amounted to ¥12,583 million (an increase of 47.9% from the
same period of the prior fiscal year), ordinary income amounted to ¥12,930 million (an increase of 43.7% from the
same period of the prior fiscal year).

Yikes at the bolded. This port-the-PS3-game-to-PS4-in-anticipation-of-the-sequel (also Witch & Hundred Knight) doesn't seem to be going too well.

Do FuRyu hold the rights to the licence for To Love Ru games? This is the second one from them now.

Here's how Square Enix's games are performing and the mobile games they consider hits.

The mobile games are:

1.) Sangokushi Rumble
2.) Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light
3.) Schoolgirl Strikers
4.) Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (DeNA)
5.) Kai-ri-Sei Million Arthur
6.) Mobius Final Fantasy
7.) Kingdom Hearts Unchained X
8.) Final Fantasy Grandmasters
9.) Dragon Quest of the Stars
10.) Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius

If it's not on the list, you can consider it to not be very relevant, even if it's potentially making a modest profit.

If it's not on the list, you can consider it to not be very relevant, even if it's potentially making a modest profit.

I asked this in the other thread, but might as well ask here as well. Did SE mention when they plan to release DQX (the MMO game, not DQXI) on PS4? It was announced, but maybe they quietly canceled it?

Yeh they announced it. Why would it be cancelled? It's been like maybe a couple of months since they announced all that. It's an MMO, and it's best to be on all platforms, including PS4 considering they're also releasing XI there.

I believe they said it would release in 2016. Probably not close enough to talk about. I mean we already know what the game looks like on PC. Will probably just get some in-store marketing and a launch trailer.
