Believe or not, a ton of people play games due to who the people they are are. I know someone who won't be getting SFV simply because their favs aren't in there and even if new characters show up, that's not the character who they had a connection with which was made during a very important time in their lives. Some people don't care about new mechanics and moves and just play because it's "their character" and this is no exception.

I'll get Akuma but that'll probably be it and once I play with him for a bit I'll probably stay away from the series until S3 comes out and maybe then we'll get some more classics.

I thought some of the newcomers were kinda cool in SFV so I'm open to seeing how they do. Having old favorites is cool but it doesn't hurt at times to be a bit more imaginative and come up with some new folk.
