Senators on hot mic: Trump is ‘crazy,’ ‘I’m worried’

Amazing conversation and hilarious but they really should stand up and say how they feel to the public. These are the things that need to be said aloud for the voters to hear.

Republicans taking responsibilty for their misdeeds and cowardice?!

sign me up when that happens

So far they just seem to be trying to distance themselves from trump but keep pushing the shitty agenda on the side regardless

They should realize that both are one in the same. The old ways wont work anymore and neither will this shitheel president

Collins could have stopped Devos's nomination in committee right? Instead she allowed Devos through and voted no to confirm when she knew it wouldn't matter.

Pretty funny recording, but we could still do so much better than Collins.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The vast majority of the republican party hates Trump with every fiber of their being, but their hands are bound by the republican electorate's approval of Trump. Given the chance, they'd make Pence President in a heartbeat, as he has actual experience governing and could get shit done.

Not that I disagree with this... But what are they waiting for?

You can at least start the propaganda machine turning. It's not hard to turn the mindless hive that is the GOP base against him.

Yeah, the only thing the modern GOP hates about Trump is his packaging and lack of class, as long as he keeps gutting services for the poor, he's their guy.

This is objectively false in the case of Collins regarding healthcare, the conversation we can most immediately impact as citizens. She doesn't deserve a medal for doing the right thing on one issue, but who we choose to vilify matters a lot right now.

I'm no fan of faux athletics, but this is appropriate jif usage.

The OP needs to be nominated for some sort of GAF award, it's brilliant.

I seriously can't stop laughing at that last Collins quote combined with the pic.

Who would have guessed that the guy the Russians back for president would be incompetent to the level that he would be an uncontrollable disaster?

I love it when it's unfiltered.

Then you realise what actions they undertake publicly.

McCain the biggest culprit.

Keep fighting the less evil fight, Susan.

New England Republicans are basically in line with the DNC leadership on most things to be honest.

I've voted for gop local candidates in the past but would be shocked of I ever did for a national position anytime soon just because they still too often toe the party line even if they think it's trash.

That last part is fucking hilarious.

That's also the nicest way I've seen anyone call someone butt-fucking ugly.

The picture is amazing. Holy shit.

My state should be ashamed that they voted in that fucking dumpster-crawling slob. But then again, Texas has some of the dumbest, inbred, pig-fuckers in the South. The sooner that the major cities control the state rather than the rural areas the better.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Sure, but she is one of like... 3 Republicans standing between us and a healthcare disaster and she is probably the firmest one, so if you have a magic wand that gets rid of Republican Senators do us a favor and get rid of her last. Living with the reality we have, I can deal with people like her.

If we were smart strategically we would be making her feel comfortable and making Heller feel terrified of his prospects for reelection.

While I see where you're coming from she's just marginally less shitty than the rest as its not like she's opposing much else from Trump or her fellow GOP members. I'd also be a lot more impressed if I saw this candor from something other than an mic that was left on.

For people shitting on Reed, his family has done alot of good for RI. Dude seems genuine in person as well (randomly ended up drinking on a boat with him and my friend's family). He gives a shit which is alot more than you can say even about alot of the DNC right now let alone the GOP.

Yeah, this.

One of the most humble dudes I've ever met, never mind in Congress.

Did you see the one who challenged me to a duel?” Collins asks.

“I know,” Reed replies. “Trust me. Do you know why he challenged you to a duel? ‘Cause you could beat the s— out of him.”

“Well, he’s huge,” Collins replies. “And he — I don’t mean to be unkind, but he’s so unattractive it’s unbelievable.

I'm fucking crying.

The point of this is, despite being in power, even the republicans are legitimately worried. That is how much of a disaster Trump is. They're not saying he's crazy, like a madman. They think he might be mentally ill.

Honestly, f he lost weight and hit the gym, he'd probably appear ordinary. But hey if the Larry Flynt look works for him.

She voted "No" for DeVos. Didn't matter. DeVos had enough votes.
