KOF 14 effects were improved over time from the initial reveal. They even had a nice effects overhaul with the first patch post release. I am sure they will continue to iterate.

Well for once I can say my expectations have been shattered. This is exactly what the roster needed so far. If Yashiro is back Shermie and Chris must join the party too.

Heh. I like Maximillian's content but he's (understandably) wrong with many things KOF. Story IS important in KOF. When characters canonnicaly die, they die for good. Yashiro/Shermie/Chris were never seen again in KOF since '97 (except for the dream match games like 98/2002, etc).

They are only coming back because they made up a story reason that allows it to happen. (The destruction of Verse in XIV.) Now give me Rugal/Krizalid/Goenitz boss team.
