I get what he’s trying to say but he’s rambling. He starts off by saying she’s not real, you’re not taking her home to fuck, it’s a game. Then he says it’s offensive to talk about the reason why she looks bigger.
If you’re disconnecting to the point of saying she’s just polygons, then why is any talk about how those polygons are angled offensive?
My thinking;
1. You either don’t care about gaming characters weight, looks, sexualization, representation, etc etc. Because nothing is real. You could literally run around with a fork or an apple instead. It’s just a game. Nothing is real. It’s polygons. It’s literally nothing but a bunch of triangels that animators and coders has programmed to be placed and moved in a specific way. Nothing else.
Why would you care about anything regarding those triangles?

2. Or you do care about gaming characters looks, how they behave, what they represent, what their life story is and all that. Because devs are trying to make them look and behave like a real person and tries to make us care, tries to make us love their looks, respect their life choices and care about their stories etc, even cry for them in certain games.

I’m in group 2. Which is why I think it’s a valid explanation that it’s the camera angle plus a concerned look on her face that makes her look bigger. Which is also why I think she looks nice in general but could be prettier since I’m a simple soul who enjoy to look at pretty women. Which is also why I’m annoyed at the human fights since I would love to play this with my kids but looking at people dying would be too much for the little ones.

Contrary to what people like Druckmann think games are still being made primarily to have FUN and relax while playing them. And a part of that fun goes away if the main character you'll spend 100 hours with was intentionally made uglier than the character from the first game. It's just how most people work. You'll want to spend your free time with someone attractive or simply nice to look at, not necessarily with someone who isn't.

See, the bottom line is that there's nothing wrong with discussing the differences in this character model. A lot of it is coming from a technical perspective....fine. If someone wants to discuss whether or not they think this character or any other are hot or not THAT'S FINE TOO. It's just entertainment! People have a right to have their own thoughts, preferences and views. They DO NOT have a right to tell others what their views should be and try to force that. No way.
The sooner we stand up to people like this, tell them to lighten up and fuck off, the sooner this disease can be eliminated, or at least relegated to people's own opinions where it should stay. This BS of trying to guilt, shame or otherwise coerce others into following some myopic view of how everyone should view things is ridiculous. When you say so and reject it, you take some of it's power and eventually, it will subside. Doesn't matter anyway...it's never enough for these kinds of people. If you accept their view on one thing, whether genuinely or just to make peace, they won't be satisfied and will just keep demanding and demanding. So, it's up to every individual whether they want to follow the herd and the trend, or keep their own thoughts and voice. And if following the trend IS your thought and voice...good for you. I seriously doubt there are many if any people who will play a game or not play a game based on whether they think a character is hot or not. I'm sure that rare unicorn exists, but most people just want to have fun. But it is true that people respond better to things they are attracted to for whatever reason. Nothing wrong with that either and if someone is the person who buys a game or movie based on how 'hot' the characters or actors in it are, or that is even part of the decision making process......then so be it. I'm just tired of people trying to force some view on everyone else because they think it's right. This kind of thing is just the same as a religion and someone who continually tries to convert others and won't take a polite 'no thank you' for an answer. Sooner or later, they get the door slammed in their face. Enough with this already.

I get your point here but to be honest....we all DO make judgements based on appearance every day. It's even in our language and speech patterns- 'What LOOKS GOOD to eat today?' It's also long established in the social sciences that people make immediate and unconscious judgements based on appearances and things like attractiveness. It's just biology and how we're wired. Now, you can be a 'pig' and base decisions consistently on conscious judgements you make, leaving them at a shallow level, or you can be more mature and avoid that. But those built in judgements and biases ARE there. Denying them does you no good. In fact, it's better to keep your eyes open to them and do some self analysis to make sure you're not losing balance and becoming more shallow in your decision making.
I personally like tits and boobs in videogames, but I really don't understand why some people can't relate with anything different from the Victoria's Secret models. It is juvenile in the very meaning.

Again, you're conflating how we should treat and judge people in real life, versus how we should view fictional characters in art. Those two aren't the same thing. It's perfectly fine to want an attractive lead for a game or a movie, while understanding you shouldn't judge people for being unattractive in real life.
Of course, even in real life, you are absolutely going to discriminate when it comes to something like choosing a partner, and that's obviously not shallow at all because it's merely an acknowledgement of what you find attractive or desirable, which as you admit is hard-wired. That's not some failing that needs to be overcome.
This whole movement in art, though, is coming from an ideological, deeply insecure feminist perspective that tries to subvert aesthetics, beauty and taste. "Seeing beautiful people makes me feel threatened and not good enough. Art is discriminating against me by having beautiful people in it. Let's make characters more plain so they more closely resemble normal women." Or the whole stupid "male gaze" thing, because God forbid a male looks at the screen and appreciates a beautiful, sexy or attractive woman. It's all nonsense.
