Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow has the best Spies vs Mercs Mode. Chaos Theory is for pansies and casuals who aren't smart enough to mitigate the fact that mines could be placed damn near anywhere in Pandora Tomorrow and need active camo to be able to snap a Merc's neck.

A lot of my favorite gaming memories were on that platform since I was in High school. I could use its web browser and download movies and music. Save images and make them my background. Youtube was a hotbed for console wars videos. Because of how that generation lasted, It was the first platform where I was able to branch out and try different games. If you had a PSP you could move content to and from the PS3.

I know the PS2 is the GOAT but the PS3 is up there.

It depends man.. But I feel like you're talking about the popular ones that got *lucky* and just broadcast theirselves playing whichever game and are confusing popularity with significant contribution.

Most streamers (like 99.9% we for sure don't see) are just people playing their favorite games while seeking warm communication and friendship and such along the way. Why? Because it's their passion and feel like sharing it with like minded people. <3

The Twin Snakes (MGS1 Remake on Gamecube) is an upgrade over the original game in every way except for voice acting.

The game has the exact MGS2 engine/gameplay and also allows you to swap back to top down gameplay if you are one of those people who is like "first person ruins the gameplay intentions of the first game". Another point of contention with purists is a couple of over the top cutscenes which is laughable because it pales in comparison to the utter loony tune insanity that happens in MGS2 and MGS4.

No. Turning Solid Snake into an Avenger (in those cutscenes) is what cursed Dennis Dyack out of the industry. The balance of groundedness discovering batshit insanity was a part of what made that game great.

Half life has aged extremely poorly. Tried it recently and quitted it not far in due to how annoying the gameplay was.

Modding is your right and you can never "ruin" a game by changing some aspects of it (looking at you freedom planet community, yes i found voice acting stupid and had it removed).

As long as you aren't sharing the game, you are also fully in your right to crack it.

"10 out of 10" reviews are stupid as a game can never be "perfect", and a sign reviewers are simply worshiping the series or doesn't dare to give a lower score out of fear of reprisal (looking at you, Zelda/Link).

Legend of the Dragoon is overrated as hell. The writing is bad, the QTE combat is annoying and the world is uninteresting..

i played through the original halo trilogy for the first time last year because its all on gamepass. totally generic. some of the music was great though.

looking back, im not sure how the hell i got through the first halo. all the levels look the same and i kept getting lost because of it. its just a bad game but it was never popular for its campaign was it? it was the novelty of xbox live and multiplayer gaming why it took off.

i had the option of playing locked 60 fps at 1440p in ac valhalla but opted out at 4k 35-50 fps. it looked sharper, clearer and more definitive. vrr and 30+ frames were enough for it to keep the experience smooth

i'll always pick resolution/graphics over abundance of framerates. in some cases tho, i'll even trade frames at 60 fps in favor of resolution. only FPS games would be exception

I mean, sure from a certain perspective. But they’re just performers and entertainers, I think that has worth. It also takes a lot of work, lazy streamers don’t get views.

Can they get full of themselves and start to believe the hype? Yeah, and that’s annoying, but I don’t think it’s inherently less valuable than any other form of entertainment.

Lol, flight sims just started looking good recently. People have been playing them for the experience since before they even had shading and it was just wireframes. I find standard flight sims a tad boring, but combat flight sims? That’s where it’s at.

As someone that has beat most Halo campaigns besides Spartan Assault (the mobile game that came to XB1) I can understand how someone couldn't get into Halo, I've never thought it was that good

Dead or Alive is a great fighting game. People focus way too much on the "lolz boob physics" (while ignoring that other games, like Soul Calibur, aren't any better in that department) and (willingly?) ignore that it has a pretty deep system that requires knowledge of the game, reading, baiting, and good execution to master.
