There is a Tweet by Xbox in the other Halo thread stating they submitted 10mins of footage to be eligible for Gamescon awards. Sounds like it's tomorrow for showing.

And I never used to watch competitive halo. I don't know why I just didn't. I would rather be playing it I think. But I started watching Flamesword's stream during Halo 5 and got hooked. Glad to see he'll be back for Infinite.

Agree. The console imo looked even better.
No campaign footage though was a woof. They fooled me twice. First the controller and i was like cool we're gonna see more footage. Then the 2nd time but it was the limited edition console reveal. lol

I wasn't terribly impressed with the intro to season 1 but if it more concerns multiplayer then I really don't care too much. At first I was thinking it could be cool for campaign. Like what if a random teen somehow stows away on a spartan mission and then the spartans are forced to bring her along and protect her at the same time. Might make a really interesting story. But never mind.

Yep I think you're right. I saw someone post on gaming side that it was confirmed we would see 10 minutes of footage. Have no idea what they were referring to but I was hoping they were somehow right too.
EDIT: Greg Stone sweating bullets because he knows how important Infinite is to xbox and halo fans?

I just don’t give a single fuck about Loretta. She doesn’t have the charisma of Johnson or a history we can take interest in. We just know she is the leader for Spartan-IV’s now, she almost got iced by Brutes, and are expected to already be sold on her.
It’s also weird to me that Spartan-IV’s are all giants now? The reason the S-II’s were so huge wasn’t just because they drank a lot of milk! They had been genetically augmented throughout their lives. It’s why George towered over the rest of Noble team. The IV’s (to my knowledge) enhancements were mostly tech and not genetics… on fully grown people. Overall I’ve liked the direction Chief’s story is going in tone, but the multiplayer EU crap just feels cringy and lame.
Eck. I hate feeling so nit picky but I’m tired of having my bright blue balls teased! Especially when what I’m teased with is garbage! I know you’ve got some beers on tap in the back 343 so why am I being given a fuckin White Claw!?

Dude if we got that I'd be happy. It'd at least be SOMETHING to chew on. I imagine this months Inside Infinite will have some more info at least. Hopefully something substantial though...

Their silence and that tiny clip during E3 makes me feel like SOMETHING is holding them back from showing the campaign at the moment and I don't think it's because it's in shambles. Is there an X0 event this year?

Tired of this now. I'm expecting a 5 minute (at most) vid 1-2 weeks before launch and nothing more.
We're about 3 months before this thing supposedly releases and I feel like aside from a few multiplayer modes I have no idea what it's going to be like. What's the campaign like now? What are the modes/features it's launching with? They refuse to say anything.
I'd hate to assume the worst, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't worrying. At the end of the day though I'll probably still play it because COD is doing absolutely nothing for me this year and I've never been a Battlefield guy. But the marketing for this game has been baffling, to say the least.

To be frank, I’m not worried. There was similar amount of coverage on the rest of the installments. If anything Halo 2 was worse off as they advertised a final product that wasn’t achievable on Xbox. At least now, they’re in the process of upgrading the game to meet next gen standards as opposed to the opposite. They were ready to ship this thing last year, instead they decided on polishing the game for a full year.
what that says to me is the game is done, but they’re putting a ton of polish on the game.

I've said it before, here's hoping they pull a Halo 2 last ditch effort out of the bag for the last year and until release. Here's also hoping it's more Armory, Cairo Station, Outskirts, The Oracle, and Delta Halo than say Quarantine Zone.

Thing is, even though most (all?) Halo games have had shitshow dev cycles, Bungie demonstrated they were somehow able to brute force good games together despite it. 343... hasn't really done that. 4/5 got mixed reception at best, unlike the OT which were almost universally loved.
IDK. Think I've said this before but I'm just at the point now where whatever gets released this holiday, I just hope Staten will be able to salvage it like they did with the MCC.

I'm not that worried about the state of campaign... I just want to see it. Personally, I enjoyed the 2020 8 minute campaign footage and ending cutscene. I just want more of that to see what has changed w/ more plot details. It's just weird they are holding back till they polish things since games still release footage during that, but maybe they don't want people having another negative reaction to visuals or something.

Maybe I'm not reading it correctly, but the minimum requirements look virtually the same with only the ram being double for Infinite. And for the recommended settings 2042 recommends a GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT while Infinite recommends a Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070. I guess I'm not up to date on specs. Is there a big difference between the 5600 and 5700 or the 2060 versus the 2070? I know 5700 and 2070 are a step up but I didn't know if they were a big step up.

I think what's throwing me off is the CPU requirement. GPU makes sense, but CPU is a bit weird considering 2042 is doing a lot more at once. In all honesty, it shouldn't be THAT bad and the difference isn't otherworldly, but I'm just surprised its a notch above in some departments for recommended. I'm assuming recommended is being able to run 60fps comfortably in this case.
The recommended is just Xbox Series X specs basically

I bought the Elite Infinite controller from the MS store, right after they dropped the tweet. The console looks cool as well, but I already have a Series X, which I just bought like 5 months ago and didn't feel like dropping $800 total on Halo swag today. I still hope they announce a legendary edition for the game.
I got a Destiny flashback vibe when they introduced Loretta, like when they introduce important NPCs for Destiny series. Maybe Loretta will be the Lord Saladin or Lord Shaxx for Infinite.
