Every time they showed me new mechanics, I got a strong feeling every part of it will be heavy monetize. Its Portkey games afterall.

That "room of requirement" or whatever it was called definitely seemed like the "room of microtransactions".
Hopefully it's not too bad in that regard.

The game is being made by AVALANCHE. Of Mad Max and theHunter fame. Portkey handle the Wizarding World so of course they get a credit, but this is clearly AVALANCHE's project.

It's the people behind Disney Infinity, Toy Story 3, etc. This is definitely their biggest and most ambitious project yet

I didnt see any of the cool destruction and physics that were in the leaked and reveal trailers. It's disappointing but expected. Last gen consoles couldnt have handled that level of destruction.

The game comes out in Holiday 2022. 90% of the sales will be on next gen consoles and they will all get an inferior experience due to the decision to limit this game to last gen.

Personally I'm glad it's these guys and not the other Avalanche. They seems like a talented and passionate bunch and I'm looking forward to see what they can do with a proper AAA budget.

Have never really liked the other Avalanche. They have some good ideas and enjoyable combat but their world, mission and story design is bottom of the barrel

I'm really not into the movies and never read the books.

However an open world game set in this type of world looks fantastic, i have been waiting for a 'Bully' type game for years now and this looks like it will exceed expectations.
