I think I was the one person on here excited for this game, sad times 😔

I'm definitely interested. Going to be seeing the movie this December. Probably checking out part 1 in the theater again as well in September.

I'm still waiting on reviews and impressions before jumping in on this, and Ubi games drop in price very fast.

I heard SlimySnake SlimySnake falling from his chair.
I kinda expected it after it missed E3.

Disappointing nonetheless. Wouldve been the only true next gen title released in 2022. This will go down as the worst year of the generation. At least year we got Ratchet and Returnal.

Gamers should be rioting right now. We paid $500 for next gen consoles only to have nothing next gen two years after launch while these companies post record profits.

Everyone saw this coming.

One of the most impressive reveals for new gen, but knowing the ubi past yeah not too confident the end product will look anything like that. Still sad to hear this.

Bet all those 2023 games will now get pushed to 2024. Pathetic
Ubisoft knows this too. Thats why they said its a 2023-2024 game lol.

Next year, we are getting REM4KE which also looks cross gen despite Capcom trying to fool us. FF16 which looks cross gen. FF7 which looks cross gen and unbashedly cross gen too since they came out and said they are literally reusing the character models from the PS4 version. No shame. lol Forspoken doesnt look next gen but its doing some fancy stuff with magic spells and physics. Starfield has some incredible looking next gen vistas but the main game looks fairly cross gen. But those are two games that gets me excited for next year. Dont see Spiderman releasing next year either. So yeah, next gen will start in 2024. 4 years after launch.

So Skull and Bones is supposed to carry Ubisoft this holiday?

Right? The reception to the current and previous previews haven't been... good. A lot of them asked why you would even bother when something like Sea of Thieves exists, and other games, and they do them better....

I'm surprised they waited this long to announce the delay on Avatar, they haven't talked about it in a minute, lol.

I love Ubisoft and they get so much hate but they really should stick to what they're good at. I loveeeeee Division. Don't make it a BR F2P. I like AC, don't make it F2P crap. Skull and Bones? Ughhh. Give me some GR Future Soldier 2. 'Id rather have an AC1 remake then this Last Of Us crap.

...Whelp, not unexpected.

I was looking forward to what Massive Entertainment was going to be able to push Snowdrop Engine to do (although sorry SlimySnake, but I don't share your faith that this will be or would have been the first "true next-gen" you keep pounding the gavel for... would be nice if it matched the trailer and achieved all the developers' promises, but there's bits to read between the lines for those who doubt it'd be that so far ahead of everything else, and now we'll have to wait maybe another year to actually find out.)

2023/2024 <---- the fuck!?

It's a fiscal report, so it could still mean by next Christmas (this is from the "FIRST-QUARTER 2022-23 SALES" report, and it's the end of July.)

But I don't like seeing 2024 as a possibility, for sure.

I kinda expected it after it missed E3.

Don't think Ubisoft had an "E3". They did an announcement for Skull and Bones during that Summer of Gaming thing, and they have a Ubisoft Forward due in September, also Mario+Rabbids was on a Nintendo show, but I believe that's it from their PR machine.

September would have been dangerously late to announce a date for a tentpole game, but it's a companion to Avatar Way of Water so they would have had built-in awareness with the movie in December, maybe they could have pulled it off if it was ready. It did seem ominous that nothing but developer hype has come out about the game since that first trailer...
