What time is it?
I've thought Arkane's character modeling has been horrible for some time yet but I guess that's a matter of artistic choice...but come on.

No, I don't want a console manufacturer that begrudges consoles and doesn't understand or care to understand how to make good games, and wants to turn this industry into a subscription/cloud service mess to succeed. Sue me.
How dare a company give ppl options to play their games on all devices! oh wait sony is putting games on pc and cloud aswell.

It’s already going to score high from the usual suspects. Guaranteed. The lack of big releases, questionable quality, the hype and talk about Starfield that has built up considerably the last two years and it looks like that what was supposed to be 2022 release schedule is to be the saving grace.

Regardless of its quality at launch, it will receive high scores because it needs to and the sell out, no integrity brigade will oblige.

It also raises the question, if Redfall and Starfield had not been delayed, what was Xbox’s 2023 line up ?

Nah, I feel like gaming media are generally pretty tough on xbox games, if not fair. If Starfield doesn't deliver that will be reflected in the scores. Just like it has been with Redfall.

Them hands though! He must have a very happy wife.

But seriously, the proportions are all so wrong in this game. It's like they put together this game in the last month and didn't even bother to play their own game to see these issues.

Look at this.

The game has an exaggerated art style. It is intentional.

So far my guess that it would land between 60% and 70% looks to be on the money! As of right now, the PC version has a MC score of 62, and the Xbox Series X has a MC score of 64.

Nope, not even the Diablo release date, wasn't the beta test super responsive and positive?

Looking at this review, it looks kinda fun? Not trying to defend, however maybe once they've ironed out some of the bugs, FPS, etc we might be left with a decent game. At least in co-op, which was how I was intending to play

Maybe they should have dropped this around Halloween, like a lot of people were saying? I doubt it would have improved things tremendously, but a 62% Metacritic score is just damning.

I know I’m stating the obvious but PlayStation first party games are so much better than Xbox’s.

They REALLY need to pull their shit together and start releasing high quality games on a consistent basis. Otherwise PlayStation won’t even try to compete anymore,

I guess you guys would totally hate the art style of Sam Kieth.
He totally ignores proportion.

Played for hour and half. Beat the first main mission and went through the “settling in” bit. Heading towards the helicopter crash

Had zero expectations. Also… yes… it’s not a pretty game and could easily run on an XBone or Switch imo

But the combat isn’t bad and it’s kinda spooky and vampires are cool. Music is funky.

It’s been a fun 90 minutes and I’ll definitely play more later.
