The weird thing about Project X Zone is that... its not actually the first game in its series...

And then technically Super Robot Wars OG the moon dwellers finishes off some of the plot threads left over from Endless Frontier and Hawken's stuff in X-Zone.



It's funny how for a cross over series certain characters interactions and backstorys carry over across multiple series of games.

Is it important to play the prior games? Not really they tend to focus on a new core pair early on who no one else has interacted with, helps ease new players in. But this is the reason why many of the people in Project X Zone already know each other, because its the third game in, especially when it comes to KOS-MOS as she's the character who is in every single title outside of The Moon Dwellers (Which only follows Hawking and Aschen)

Oh come on, you liked them sculpted blue boobs, don't deny it. As for the sexualisation I didn't mean it was comparable as Quiet was intended to be just that, but the Halo designer had done some as well with Cortana. The latest iteration gave her larger hips, legs and bust.

Yes and as a Mecha fan I confused the fuck out of my mates when I went ape shit over a certain character appearing in SRW:OG The Moon Dwellers because of the Endless frontier titles (shame the sequel for DS never got translated) and they had literally no idea who this ultra obscure duo where.

So thats a tough one because it depends on what sort of games you like. Super Robot Wars is a tactical RPG in the same vein as Final Fantasy Tactics. However it is extremely wordy.

The good news is that early in the focus is on a group of new pilots and mech's to help you into the world of the SRW Original Generation.

The one thing the game exceeds at is spectacle. Even minor grunt suits have kick ass attacks, and I found myself not skipping some of my fav's even after seeing the attack for the 100th time. There like the old summons in Final Fantasy games and just look so fucking cool.



I mean have you seen a JRPG with attacks this good looking in decades? I feel on the journey for fast action many games have lost the art of spectacle. And this game has 100 unique mechs to discover, pilots to level up and equipment to unlock and equip.

It's got my recommendation but just like anyone else it depends on what sort of game you like.
