Its not a troll, its happenig right now, just look at FF16 thread, the only diference is that FF7R has party members, cambat is preaty similar
Have you even played tyhe first Remake? The combat is nothing alike. If anything, Remake's combat system is closer, if not really similar, to a turn based combat with real time dodge, while FF XVI is just straight Action Character real time combat.

The first game was already a mesh between action and turn based combat. I don't get people's surprises here.
Was mostly an action slasher as far as I played but I dropped it fairly early. You don’t see any changes? I don’t remember the UI, was the menu to the right there with your party showing who’s move it is?
I want to like this! Looks so good!

The first wasn't. At least you would be able to survive the game as one after the initial hours. And these kind of trailers always minimizes/remove UI stuff. I would worry.

That opening tho...

Hear me out,
disc one will be Cloud timeline
Disc two will be Zack timeline
Fucking imagine that

Or it’s altered news footage by Shinra to hide the fact that Avalanche just conducted a major attack on their HQ, stole a valued test subject, and escaped completely…

Eh I’m not sure how I feel about this. I enjoyed the first one somewhat. The open sections look like fake open areas and still super linear. Still pretty hyped tho

Gah I need to go back to it! Iirc I stopped playing after the biker boss, no turn based mechanics up to that point, didn’t like the combat but the nostalgia and visuals still made me enjoy it. This looks 1000 times better imo, can’t pinpoint what it is, my hype meter is cranked up to 11 anyhow 🔥

Its a typo. The game producer already told the game would not be made for PS4 for lacking an SSD. The Integrade DLC, was already PS5 only.

Trailer says PS5 and no mention of PS4, Intermission was PS5 exclusive..

also I don't trust localized website with banners slapped on a web page

Sony said the same thing on Ratchet and PS5 Magical SSD.

We'll see.

The turn based mechanics in the first game is the ability to basically freeze time and issue commands to the characters you have in your party, which then they would perform after you unfreeze, and you could freeze the game how many times you wanted. Didn't you use it?

100% the game will use the same mechanic, though there can be improvements to it.

I will wait more confirmation...
Yoshinori Kitase has revealed during a recent interview that the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which is the second chapter in the Final Fantasy 7 remake project, is only coming to PS5 due to a number of technical reasons, particularly when it comes to load times.

Kitase-san explained that the game is skipping PS4 due to the studio wanting to overcome lengthy loads times by harnessing the power of the PS5’s SSD, although the jump in visuals is also a factor.

This is how I mostly played that game. I ran wild with Tifa though lol.

Yes i did

And if u play the game on the "active mode" ( dont remember de name ) that u asign abilities to buttons in order to make the game more ACTION focused then tactical.

"Turn based combat with real time dodge", what fuck is even this lmof

FF7 Remake is an action RPG with tactical elements, just cause the game has ATB dosnt make it turne based, FF7 remake combat has a lot happenig on the screen with particules, magics, explosions, that some times make the game hard to read.

Its a lot closer to FF16 the only difference is that u can change party member mid fight.

So, someone clear this up for me:

If I get the PS4 disc of FF7 Remake, can I upgrade that to PS5 FF7 Remake Intergrade..? Or will I need to just get the PS5 Intergrade?

Yes..

Keep in mind, if you are able to upgrade to FF7 Remake Intergrade on the PS5 for free, you will then have to purchase the Intergrade exclusive EPISODE INTERmission Yuffie DLC separately for $19.99. New purchases of Intergrade for the PS5 come with EPISODE INTERmission included.

You can insert the PS4 disc into the PS5 and go to the FF7 remake page and press Upgrade or whatever under Manage Game Content. You'll have to buy the Yuffie DLC separately, though.
