Camera view is everything. One allows you to see incoming attacks 360 degrees around the MC. The other is breathing down the MC's neck and leaning to the left so much they need to put arrow indicators to tell you when an enemy is winding up and about to attack you in your blindspot.

The leaping kill is not that different mechanically from any Chain grab move for Kratos. I wouldn't compare it to Hellblade 2 yet since that seemed more limited, camera even closer, and mostly 1 on 1 duels. GoW is the closest thing I see for a quick reference.

Quick reference, sure. But using GoW as a reference is ONLY a good thing overall. Most would agree with this.

I personally do not mind seeing very early build videos. Definitely we will get a proper gameplay video next year, these are probably pre alpha videos. I wonder who leaked these videos.

GoW isn't a bad game. The 2018 was my GOTY. Combat was fun but did have some minor downsides mostly associated with the camera. It's easily the best Sony 1st party combat system.

It doesn't hold a candle to Ninja Gaiden combat, but I never expected it to.

Ninja Gaiden had one of the worst cameras in gaming..let's not try rewrite history here

So was I, but her character hasn't really been done that well recently. I think recency bias plays a big part in these types of popularity contests.

She was very popular in the 90s.

They're so smart to focus on Wolverine first in this. He has his own rogue's gallery that doesn't detract much from X-Men.

It’s a shame that so much of the game is now spoiled. Especially villains/boss battles.

On a side note I prefer Logan in his Flannel shirt and hat over the Wolverine costume.

Good is good. If spoilers really mattered, we wouldn't watch movies (or play games) more than once.

Prototype footage aside, nothing about this looks the least bit impressive or interesting to me. Call it a consequence of being sick and tired of anything comic book related, and how fucking lame I thought SM2 was compared to the first. I just have zero faith in this project.

Honestly think Im just getting burned out on the same ol same ol Sony exclusives. Or Im just old and my cynicism is dominating everything I used to enjoy.

Looks pretty lit. And I wasn't even excited about this. Idk why more studios don't release certain stuff like this more early to gauge fan reactions. Sure, I guess that could compromise 'vision', but in this day and age with how much games cost I'd want to teak a game by fan feedback 🤷‍♂️

Was hoping for a first person perspective, more blood and gore, darker X-men theme/setting. But it's Sony so of course it's another 3rd person action game.

He is either lying or is incredibly dense.

X-Men has always been about civil rights, race relations, and quickly incorporated the aspect of kids coming out to their parents and their parents not accepting them.

It's hilarious how everything X-Men has been doing for decades would now be seen as woke.

Rogue is probably the strongest member of the X-Men on a day to day basis and Jean Grey is the strongest potentially. Of the primary X-Men, I believe Storm and Jean Grey are actually the only omega level mutants.

How long until Wolverine being canadian is considered woke lol?
