This is System Shock 2?! I gotta pick this game up!

Cant unsee that connection now. And yes it is.

lol. I'm certain the resemblance is on purpose. Doesn't RE4 have a gun called Killer 7?

Pretty much anything in Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Silent Hill 2, Crimson Heads and Lisa in Resident Evil Remake, those weird toothbrush looking monsters from FFVIII:

Bloaters and Clicker from The Last Of Us, and many many more.

Clicker noises (The Last of Us)

NOOOOPE!

Edit: Though the biggest NOPE goes to [The Last of Us minor spoilers]
a room with Clickers AND Runners. I'll take a room full of Clickers to simply mega-slow stealth through, over a room that has runners that ALWAYS see you, and then alert the clicker(s).

Yes it does. Makes sense now.... WHOA!!!! MIND BLOWN. Smiles also have hidden weak points in various places on their bodies.

last of us spoilers kinda??

In The Last of Us around 5 hours in when you're cut off from Ellie because an elevator falls under you, what the hell where those things you fight when you're trying to make your way back up to her? You get out of the water and at first I only heard faint sounds, did the listen thing and saw three of them. I sat in a pitch black room with no flashlight on, but all three of them somehow found me, killed me and scared the living shit out of me. They acted like runners but looked like clickers. Turned my ps3 off and haven't played since yesterday because of that.

Endermen from Minecraft. I don't know why, but they freak me the hell out. I actually had a nightmare the other night that one was in my bedroom.

Most flying enemies. In several games it is difficult to keep track of their position, oftentimes working against the camera to gather your surroundings and such. Seldom are they not frustrating, and I will avoid them if I can to avoid that frustration.

Dark Souls - Basilisks. Creepiest looking creature IMO, and the effect they have on you if you die to them is rage inducing.

Crimson heads. I was taking a shortcut to get to one area and come running up the staircase is a crimson head. I had no idea at the time what they were but I ran into another room and made sure to never use that staircase again.

Took me ages to level up Blade of the Darkmoon just because i hated going through the Painted World to get souvenirs off these guys.

Big Daddies in Bioshock.

They're imposing :(

Death Claws in Fallout

I remember everyone telling me how dangerous Death Claws were. Thankfully I met my first one while having the Chinese Stealth armor, near 100% sneak skill, and the Terrible shotgun. By the time I got up on one I usually dusted him in one or two shots. lol I do agree about Big Daddies though.

Lisa Trevor from REmake it's the first enemy that made me flee in terror like a little girl, throwing all caution to the wind. I hit this thing with a grenade to the face at point blank and it got back up? Oh hell no I'm not staying in this cabin.

Heck, everything that wasn't bit and bot in Adventure of Link gave me trouble.

Crimson Head in REmake. Holy crap, I thought the corpses were just for atmosphere. I couldn't take it. Started a new game and realized you could run circles around most zombies.

People mentioning clickers has me excited, about to start TLoU in an hour.

+1 for TLOU bloaters.

I never nope enemies. But I nope'd three bloaters my first time through the game. Like a bat out of hell.

Can it go invisible?
Can it move fast?
Does it make loud noises?

If it does a combination of two or more of the above I'm out. I'm going home.

Heh, that's another good one. Even funnier because my encounter went the exact same way. Does it eventually chase you? I remember running a few screens and then stopping to see if anything would happen.

You've picked the highest difficulty level because you're hardcore.

You've worked that multiplier up so hard.

You know it's coming, right at that spot of the stage.

But still.

NOPE.

All the ones I had in mind have long been revealed... Marlboro FF8... Most things in Demons Souls/Dark Souls. My most recent "Nope" has to be "Death" in Persona 4: Golden... The Reaper

The Last of Us - Clickers, Bloaters, Stalkers

I've had to take a break from this game because I find some of the enemies that disturbing.
