I picked it up 2 weeks ago on Series X and haven't seen any bugs. I'm enjoying it a lot more the deeper I get into it but my god, the story and characters are sooo boring. Not sure if it's just me.

Story & characters are nearly universally praised as the best part of the game and one of the main reasons why despite the bugs & everything some people (such as me) are so in love with this game. What are you enjoying then :messenger_tears_of_joy: ?

yes but this could severely hurt their next project, peoples faith in cyberpunk was built on witcher 3, peoples new faith in the studio is on the faults of cyberpunk
It's gonna hurt their preorder numbers for sure. They have some work to do.

Still Cyberpunk is better than the forum chatter would have you think. The haters make more noise but most people really liked the game.

Are we talking about Cyberpunk here or Heavy Rain?

There's literally a dozen other facets to this game besides its story. Some things I enjoy - the asethetics, the music, the gunplay, the augmentations / abilities, the loop of collecting better gear and levelling up.

Imagine trying to condescend someone for liking a game for reasons other than your own. What an awesome poster you are.

I realize that my post was a little too antagonistic and I am sorry for that, I did not mean for it to feel this way or condescending.

I enjoy all what you are describing as well but I think this is the first time that I read someone greatly enjoying the game while not liking the narrative, I had the impression it was the main make-or-break point for people regarding their opinion regarding the game, that's all !

Once the game opens up and you can explore the side content it gets a lot better. A lot of the best characters and plots are optional and the main quest is just there to anchor it.

Which, you know, is how Witcher 3 was too. The "main" plot of that game was literally just "Your Princess is in another castle" until the third act.

How dare CD Projekt Red sell that many copies!

Good for them. The game is great. It has flaws sure but I think oncee we get some DLC and a couple expansions the game will kick ass. I played it on PC and there were only a few bugs I experienced. The game desperately needs some QoL fixes and a few gameplay changes but otherwise it's a fun game. Seeing how CDPR treated Witcher 3 from launch to the release of Blood & Wine I'm sure Cyberpunk will shut up a lot of people.

Ill be excited for it again when it doesnt look like garbage on next gen consoles
CDPR have been clear all along that a next gen update is coming. So i don't think it's quite fair to say it looks garbage on PS5/XSX

If you're mad at CDPR for that then you must be pissed at all the other games that haven't been updated to next gen yet. Shit, at least we know Cyberpunk will get updated. What about all the other games that might never get updated?

If you're gonna shit on the game then at least come up with a fair critism. Or have you not actually played the game?

Ive played thirty hours of the game, i have plenty of issues. It looks passable on xbox series x, but it still looks rough. And this games roll out as well as the pace of patches has been awful. seriously this game should have been delayed to this year where it could have launched on all consoles with their respective own ports. Its a shame playing a game that could look so great and knowing that on consoles we will have to wait months for it to reach that point. Thats not even mentioning the broken police system, lifeless npc’s, broken traffic systems, pointless life path choices that ultimately mean nothing. I fucking wanted this game to be good, im Not a “hater”. Im hard on this game because i think it can be so much better than what it is. Those early demos promised a more feature filled game than what we got. The next gen versions being no where even close to being ready is just the icing on an already shitty cake

and those other games? They didnt push their release date until after the next gen consoles had already come out like cyberpunk did.

leads to fear. Fear leads to xbox.
Their single mistake was to release a last gen version. The game clearly wasn't built for Jaguar CPUs, yet they had to make it happen because of profits. If they learn from their mistake they're gonna be fine.
the next gen versions as much better, the games were buggy and glitchy, they took the notes right out of how Bathesda makes games.

It likely was only a broken mess because they had to waste resources porting it to inferior hardware. The PC version was / is as glitchy as a Fallout /TES / Assassins Creed game but overall it is playable. Porting that to something that was underpowered in 2013 was something they never should have shot for. That was a mistake. It would have been a bigger mistake if they targeted that old HW and didn't serve their biggest market with something that looks great.

PC gamers will get the next CDPR game without question. Maybe the PS4/Xbone gamers will realize that when people keep touting how well the PC version looked and ran and eventually how well the next gen one does that specs actually matter.
is that what we are deeming as ok now, well at least it was playable, however there are still bugs and glitches and maybe it crashes only once in while, but hey still playable bro. nah fam, devs need to be held to high standards and thats why their next game coming out needs to be flawless.

Massive campaign against CDPR in almost every single media channel minimally interested in the subject, every single game website teaching how to refund the game, PSN excluding the game from their store and implementing a refund system just for this game...

30k refunded copies in a universe of 13.7m.

Gaming media is dead. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

What made me like CP2077 despite all the bugs and glitches was simply the futuristic setting. I am so burned out on the medieval setting in games.

I played through the game once on PS4 Pro, bought the PC version and played a bit, but decided to just delete it until it's fully patched up and the DLC's get released. I figure by that time, it will feel like a new experience again.

I'm sorry but that's complete BS, if game like RDR 2 possible on PS4/X1 then so is Cyberpunk. You guys can't keep blaming console's power for CDPR's own screw up.
Cyberpunk is very demanding in CPU, GPU and Storage. RDR2 is a great game, beautiful in its own right, but you can't compare two games that have nothing in common and try to draw any conclusion about it.

And if you ask me, Cyberpunk is way more impressive on the technical standpoint. Artistic, I think RDR2 is surreal, and it's just a matter of preference who is the best.

If Red Dead was doing the same thing this argument would make sense, but Cyberpunk is having to draw a lot more things than RDR2 at any given point, hence the streaming issues. It's generally got more npcs, larger structures, more unique textures etc.

I mean you can see this idea in practice when you compare how a game performs in a countryside versus how it performs in their cities/towns. Even RDR2, as well optimised as it is, suffers its fps drops in its city. And Cyberpunk is essentially one massive city.

That said, Cyberpunk wasn't designed around consoles limited streaming capabilities like RDR2 was, which is incredibly stupid on CdProjekts part.

I’m not really talking about the gameplay I’m mostly talking about tech, if RDR2 managed to run on PS4 so can Cyberpunk. CDPR are experience with making games on PS4, there is no excuse for game be this broken.

I bought it at launch but still waiting for a few more patches for it to become completely stable and playable (I am on PC).
No hurries. I trust CDPR that they will keep patching it until its fully done.

congratst to cdpr. The marketing team needs a raise since they managed to maneuver all of the bad press to hit after the game released.

Good. I loved Cyberpunk, and I cant wait to see it evolve into an even better product.

Also, lol at the "millions of returns" estimates people were throwing out during all the drama. So much for that.

Yes and then those 13.7M got brainwashed somehow because the company that tricked them offered them their money back and they decided to keep that "broken shitty game" instead.

Yep, some responses in this thread are quite fucking stupid.

CDPR completely fucked up performance of base console versions, yes. But they offered returns to anyone interested. Also, this games performs like many open world games on PS3/X360...

So it sold on PS4 way more than Xbox One, and its banned on Playstation. pain.

I will never buy this game. But they probably made the right decision to release it broken as much of you will cry. Pandemic sales are real. Anything released during the
pandemic sold.

Even Avengers?

Interesting since they launched with bugs and errors across the board, and new that last gen base and pro units would barely run it.

So this shows us that we can expect more broken games and us beta testing them for $70 making it worse than XBO/PS4 right? Because there's clearly no consequence for screwing up a game launch this bad so if there's no punishment whatever.

PS3/360? So you don't want imporvements with your game you just expect them to stay broken?

The same hear except I am on series X. Still no hurry as I have enough games to keep me busy for the rest of the year, haha.

Hopefully they're humbled enough to do better and/or just release the game on PC first and not over extend themselves. Their rep took somewhat of a hit with their lackluster console ports.

I find characters and story to be best part, other things are meh at best and really fucking bad at worst.

calling it a flop is stretching it at this point
Yeah this one is weird. I do not know why Jason seems to hate CDPR more than every other company out there.

You can find it wrong (with some good reasons) but the 50/50 cut is contractually set, & common in every other gaming company. Plus as he says the board holds a lot of shares, which value has gone to the ground, so they certainly felt really baldy the financial consequences of their wrong decision-making already.

Wait until he finds out how much more money than him his boss mister bloomberg and his friends make. The man is richer than Trump.

Sometimes jason sounds like he's some guerilla fighter in a third world country instead of being part of the wealthiest top 1% of the world working for one of the top 25 richest person in the world

Cyberpunk 2077 - Flop according to schreier

Fastest selling pc game of all time
First singleplayer game to break 1 million cc users on steam
First time 2 games broke 1 million cc players at the same time on steam

A dissapointing launch due to technical reasons for certain platforms does not equal to flop when you're breaking records over records.

This is another schreier report where he's twisting things and trying to make something out of nothing. The company founders receive large bonuses compared to random low level employees ? No shit sherlok.

So, if i make my own company, i grow it over the years, release several acclaimed games, im breaking records. The company that is mine. That i founded. The fact that im getting large sums of money out of it compared to a random secretary is some sort of news ? Should the random employee get the money instead ? What the fuck is this worm even reporting there ?
