From my experience with events, the people usually running them are just regular people doing this on top of their day jobs. Putting ads and pushing stuff at other outlets costs money, and honestly probably doesn't do much, plus it's more time and effort.
Best reasonable thing to do is attach yourself to something viewers already look at (get lots of screen time and people at big events), keep yourself present and interesting on social media, and get that momentum and bandwagon. Basically look at everything Jebailey does and try to do it better. Pretty easy to do if you have likable people and put them in the right places, doesn't cost that much etc.
It helps if you have a good face to things and not shit websites and social media accounts too. Capcom has good sites(shout outs to money), but on social media they still give off the big monolithic corporate vibe that people barely pay attention to because it's probably just fluff PR. Like I don't even tune into Capcom stuff anymore, because I just expect it to be Mike Ross or somebody spinning in circles for an hour without me learning much or being that entertained. The Spooky stream was the only one I kept watching, and let's be real Spooky can make anything entertaining.
Basically what I'm saying is, give Honzo the keys to the twitter account again.
