Premium edition isnt the same as mtx.
One is 1 time purchase, while the other is unlimited. 2 different things.
Doesn't change the fact that you're still paying extra money to unlock features.

The real question is "The game has a fair progression rate?"The question is, how many credits can you earn while playing the game, let's say per hour? and is it fun to grind?
Gran Turismo has option to buy credits since GT6, its nothing new. Thers no content locked behind MTX.Damn, I remember when Forza 5 was going to something similar but but the backlash was bad so they backed away from it. Sony launched it after the reviews and on launch day. Kind of fucked up and I've been telling this to people when they ask me game pass with microtransactions or $70 games with none. I always reply with who says they won't do microtransactions in a $70 game.
That option have been sealed long time, the moment we went ham with collector edition.Doesn't change the fact that you're still paying extra money to unlock features.
Plenty. A clean entry level 2 lap race gives you between 7.5 and 15k if you drive clean. Licenses give you plenty of credits. The coffee mode offers you gifts which you can get either cars, parts or money, lottery style. No need to pay to unlock, having a blast. The question is, how many credits can you earn while playing the game, let's say per hour? and is it fun to grind?
It starts at 10, it's all downhill from thereNever once felt the need to purchase credits in gt games. In 7 I'm early in and am earning a good bit of coin just doing the races so far. Have like 10 cats and only bought my first and not including the pre order one
I thought that was a cat on her head as well.It starts at 10, it's all downhill from there
Now I cannot unsee itI thought that was a cat on her head as well.
I've seen races were you get less than 30k$ when you win. That's 100 races to get one single of those cars. That's got to be a mistake in pricing? A 3M credit car for $40? It would take barely any playing time to get that 3M. Literally no one would do that unless they don't like games?
Just like every GT before it there are big money races that award the most for relatively little time. Won't take long before someone finds it here. Forgot which race it was in Sport but with the daily bonus it was like less than 10 minutes of racing for 100s of thousands. I remember it being the LA Sarthe track.I've seen races were you get less than 30k$ when you win. That's 100 races to get one single of those cars.
That's not what I'd call "barely any playing time"
It's just war lol. Check some of the user profiles and there will sit a strong history of hating everything PS.Folk in this thread make it sound as if you can't earn credits in-game or purchase an expensive car unless you pay up for these microtransactions
It starts at 10, it's all downhill from there
But there is only one problem that marketing strategy doesn't solve for a live service game or Gaas game, that is player retention. This system will do wonders for boosting player numbers in the long run so Sony can proudly announce those to say the game is more than successful for both their shareholders and FIA.
Someone should add all the coat of the Microtransactions up and see what kind of car we could buy with that money or what kind of down-payment we could have for one
That is a nice gaming pc+ps5+xss price. Who ever spends that much money on 1 game, should be locked in a dungeon. Here’s another one GT7 has 400 cars or so, say Forza 8 comes with 700.
$5.99 per car DLC, $1,797 dollars to pull equal in cars
Lol turn the camera around so we can see the rest of them. I know that's only about 25% of your collection.Quit posting my picture dammit!
This is why there is no offline mode.
This meme is so stupidly unrealistic. I've never seen Jim Ryan wear a hat like that.
You have to be a gimmick at this point. No grown man can actually be this much of a pathetic shill.Well we know they will put MTX in the game... GTS had it.
But I'm really happy is that they increase the price.
So they are telling you to rely more on your earned ingame credits than buying credits with money.
GTS was too cheap that made people took the easy way.
The real question is "The game has a fair progression rate?"
I mean, if you need to pay them for play a game (having fun with it) that you already payed the game is really a shitty game. To me it makes looks like playstation is dying. Not in money, there is a lot of idiots who will pay $70 for a game and a lot more into microtransactions, but as a quality game Publisher.
It is really sad see that happens.
For this shit, is better pay to play iRacing.
Seeing the "top up credits" option every time I buy a car is gross. Understandable for a F2P game like Fortnite, but not for a $70 release.
Only someone as blinded as you would see this as positive. Get if the PS wagon once in a while.Well we know they will put MTX in the game... GTS had it.
But I'm really happy is that they increase the price.

Holy smokes thats some spin, Jesus dude.Well we know they will put MTX in the game... GTS had it.

Or you could just play Forza on Gamepass for free and not have any of this Sony/Jim Ryan bullshit
Well it’s scandalous actually because they LOCK cars behind bundles and a paywall. You can also PURCHASE roulette spins or whatever they are called ITS SHOCKING.Or you could just play Forza on Gamepass for free and not have any of this Sony/Jim Ryan bullshit

How many cars are locked like this anyway? Win 100 races someone said earlier to earn enough credits to buy the $40 car. Are all the cars priced this way or only like a dozen of the most rare/expensive ones? Some more context can help with all the outrage. I dont have a problem with like the 10% top tier rarest cars going for this amount. But if all cars prices avg around the same then that is straight bull.
Twitch/youtube plays a huge role in behaviors like these. When you see your favorite YouTuber/streamer buying these cars with money, you will want to do the same. They’re not even the same kind of “games” lol, one is an actual simulator.
Back to the topic,
this is downright disgusting and unfortunately, this is where the industry is heading.
It would be a thousands times worse without options, though.
If Sony/Poly were to cave and adjust prices what is the sweet spot?
You want to encourage players to grind all the same, but what about impulse buyers, rich cucks that essentially become the gateway for online competitiveness, or those who simply don’t want to?
There’s almost no desirable ending for all players once MTX is introduced.
That’s why I stick with the campaign and earn in-game credits.
Very scummy and this is the norm as far as I know. What do they mean "it's live"? So when the reviews came in they were not? That's such a scummy move
