So it was 2 years....now it's one year!
So, 6 months next year....then day and date in 2024?

I know that telling a fib is bad, but holy fucking shit calm the fuck down. You're calling the person behind the Playstation brand you love so much subhuman. What the actual fuck is wrong with you? Are the games still not coming to PS? Is this really worth calling someone less than human for HELPING the industry? You forgot the best one: "“And to maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance.”
Now it's "PS5 exclusive at least 1 year for SP, and Day One for GaaS"...
I mean yeah... Fuck this subhuman liar
Sony is adding dlss3.0 support for 40 series cards in time for launch. If you have a better PC, and if you are capable of waiting, and if the PC version is highly optimized
Lots of ifs
I think its more getting these options into PC ports because there are low, mid, and high end PC users. While on PS5 they target one spec.Sony is adding dlss3.0 support for 40 series cards in time for launch.
Meanwhile fsr 2.0 has been out for months but ps5 games haven’t been patched for them. They are clearly putting more effort into their PC ports.
I'm stating facts, he's a liar and his wording speak for itself.I know that telling a fib is bad, but holy fucking shit calm the fuck down. And yet, some people will still come here and tell you: " Gnah Gnah Hermen is not liar Gnah Gnah"So it was 2 years....now it's one year!

Day One for all multiplayer games!I'm fine with 1 year.
If your a GAAS gamer, even better. Probably all of them (they got over 10 in the works) will be day one on PC.Glad I made the jump to PC this gen. Could see the winds of change blowing this way since multiple PS5 games appeared on PC, which is unprecedented in the history of Playstation.
He's just bending the truth to keep the Sony faithful on his side. Plus decisions like this change over time.I'm stating facts, he's a liar and his wording speak for itself.
Also not helping industry to me. He is destorying the PS brand for the sake of his own fantasies.
We can only hope but I have my doubts, they clearly like the double dipping money. So it was 2 years....now it's one year!

Yep 12 games by 2025 they said. So all that IO secret sauce Cerny talked about in his road to PS5 talk will basically be absent from these 12 first party games. If your a GAAS gamer, even better. Probably all of them (they got over 10 in the works) will be day one on PC.
For GAAS, it’s technically day and date now. Sounds like all or most GAAS will be on PC right away.So it was 2 years....now it's one year!
So, 6 months next year....then day and date in 2024?
You are calling him subhuman. Over plastic boxes with electronics in them. And how the fuck is this destroying the brand?? PCs have flaws that for some people may make consoles more preferable. Do you honestly think little 8 year old Jimmy is gonna get a PC over a Playstation 5 despite them playing the exact same fucking games?I'm stating facts, he's a liar and his wording speak for itself.
Also not helping industry to me. He is destorying the PS brand for the sake of his own fantasies.

I wasn't a fan of XBox putting their games on PC, but i didn't talk much about because MS already lost me with Kinect followed by DRM and Cie. Haven't bought XBox One, and have no plan in buyin Xbox Series S/X.He's just bending the truth to keep the Sony faithful on his side. Plus decisions like this change over time.
They are looking at this from a business perspective, while you seem to be looking at this whole situation from a Sony fanboy perspective. I guess you probably gave Xbox shit for years for bringing their games to PC?, maybe.
Sony would have to switch to either DirectX or OpenGL for that to be possible.(Not so) Hot take: By the end of generation every first party PS game will be released on PC same day as on Playstation
Games are being concurrently designed on PC and PS5. PCs dont have the PS5 IO. It's basic logic. How in the world do you come to that conclusion? I'm curious the logical argument.
Just like Xbox is now bigger than ever?... OupsDon’t be loco. This will make the PS brand bigger, nothing more.
A console is a value proposition in terms of hardware, it does not matter if the game eventually releases on PC.
Yeah, the masses are about to build themselves a PC with a 4080. I expect water cooling too. This is great news. Now I can sell my ps5 before the value falls out the arse of it once the masses understands what this means.
I don't think this news is gonna have a massive affect on PS5 sales...This is great news. Now I can sell my ps5 before the value falls out the arse of it once the masses understands what this means.
Just like Xbox is now bigger than ever?... Oups
Xbox peak was at 360, once they started porting games on PC nobody gives 2 shit about owning an Xbox. And Playstation is gonna follow the same lame model, the difference is Xbox can allow themselves losing too much money unlike the others.
Still think they will be launching day and date on PC by the end of this gen. And even if they dont, 1 year is nothing for us PC gamers, we are used to it since the arrival of the EPIC Shitstore.

For me, cross play games is a zero issue. It doesn’t revenue matter which console ported games. I’m sure there were old Genesis and snes games that were ported to PC, as well as all the early PS and Xbox games that surely ported over the past 25 years.I wasn't a fan of XBox putting their games on PC, but i didn't talk much about because MS already lost me with Kinect followed by DRM and Cie.
We will talk about it being good business decisions or not when the consoles and PS+ subs will drop in numbers. And not even talking about quality downgrade when they start releasing buggy games because of non fully focus on one hardware, it already started with HZFW.
Nintendo is bigger than ever and with little setup you can play all of their best games on your PC. Isn't stopping the switch and it's massive dominance thoughJust like Xbox is now bigger than ever?... Oups

cool so i bought my playstation 5 to play a shittier version 1 year earlier.
oh well still cool i get to play earlier and since games are getting so expensive to make it also makes sense to go multiplat.
it would be nice if they would stop fucking releasing the games on 9 year old hardware tho. i want my next gen games like demon souls/ratchet clank
aye the year is worth it for me but i can understand that plenty of pc gamers truly don't give a shit. Also GL charging full price for a 1 year old SP port with youtube walkthroughsPS5 and Xbox are better than like 92-95% of PC gamers. Here we mostly have extreme examples of PC gamers, yet PS5/XSX would be much more powerful than average gaming PC's. Also if MGS6 was an Xbox exclusive for 1 year I would buy an XSX. Waiting 1 year for a game to come is the saddest thing ever. Live today as you don't know what will happen in the future, like nuke fest with current lunacy.
Or have both versions in development concurrently.Sony would have to switch to either DirectX or OpenGL for that to be possible.
Live service games are really easy to port and have very little to test. If Sony could do the same for SP games they probably would, but currently it’s not possible.People just need to accept consoles are officially just way more limited but more affordable and streamlined PC's now.
Want decent performance for a relatively low price? Get a console, want more freedom and potentially better performance at a higher cost? get a PC.
Releasing the live service games on PC day 1 makes sense. Live service games need a big active user base to thrive and it's going to be hard to get that on just Ps5 (specially if the live service games will also be $70).
The costs would be through the roof.Or have both versions in development concurrently.
Their teams are large enough for that to be a thing.
cool so i bought my playstation 5 to play a shittier version 1 year earlier.
Wow, I feel kinda special being part of the 8% lol.PS5 and Xbox are better than like 92-95% of PC gamers. And Sony are so strapped for cash amirite? The costs would be through the roof.
It’s called The Last of Us Online btw. See Druckmann’s tweet.Factions 2 day one PC confirmed.
Doubt it comes to PS4 because I don’t think it will ship until 2024.PS4, PS5, PC.
Just a hint, Series is comfortably outselling the 360. Revenue is more than double compared to back then, too.Just like Xbox is now bigger than ever?... Oups

Also up against a 360 which had rrod which bolstered sales thanks to people getting more consoles than usualJust a hint, Series is comfortably outselling the 360.
You’re still talking additional unnecessary cost. And Sony are so strapped for cash amirite?
Small independent developers can release a game day and date on Xbox, Playstation, Switch and PC......but not the megacorp Sony.
Nope that they just cant do.
Way too expensive and outside of their technical know how.
No AI, no scripting, no closed off levels etc.I don't get what would make live service games easy to port and test. Specially if they are making them with high production values.
The majority of third party devs release their single player games on multiple consoles at launch, I don't see why Sony wouldn't be able to make a day 1 PC version if they really wanted to.
You think they wont make that money back on Steam? You’re still talking additional unnecessary cost.
It may only add $100,000 onto the development but that’s still $100,000 they don’t need to spend.
No AI, no scripting, no closed off levels etc.
Live service games don’t have the intricacies that SP games do. Often it’s only 1-10 maps.
Just a hint, Series is comfortably outselling the 360. Revenue is more than double compared to back then, too.
They’d still be out of pocket compared to porting once it has gone gold. The only reason MS switched to day and date on PC was because they moved to DirectX.You think they wont make that money back on Steam?
Every single Sony game since this new stance has sold gangbusters on Steam.
That cost is borderline irrelevant considering how much they are expanding their market.
