Nitpicky but wish there was more dynamic elements in the open world. Like using spells on objects and people, having NPCs react to good or bad behaviour (could work in a whole meta game of detentions and cup points), just having dialogue with random NPCs. But doesn't help I just came off RDR2 which excels at that stuff

That's in all honesty probably more to do with business continuity. Which at some point has to be taken into consideration. Sure, you can wipe all conversation of the game from existence, but banning media, too? That's likely a bridge too far, even for them. And no doubt would permanently damage the site.

I'm sure plans for DLC have been underway since fall. They likely broke pieces of the game off that they knew weren't going to be able to be finished in time, some months ago, and are working on some cool things. Quidditch would probably be too much, better left for a sequel. Even more stuff to do in the open world, or adding new areas could be fun though!

Yeah, I got banned for basically making a joke about how basically Andre from GameXplain had it coming when all the other people on the site left, because he was taking vacations to Disney World, and they were doing all the work but getting paid pennies. But in all honesty, I would've definitely been banned over this ridiculous censorship of Hogwarts Legacy. Clearly a stellar game, and deserves it's time in the spotlight.

My media company has been hired by a third party that represents hundreds of families in Colorado and California to create an documentary showcasing the reality of the grooming. There are several class action lawsuits filed against the counties and school districts that are allowing it to happen.

Grooming of children as young as second and third grade or younger is a reality that many communities are fostering without parental consent. There is a real agenda out there.

Just one example, a group of five to seven year olds were told to join an after school art club. On the first day of this club they created and painted rainbow posters and pins for a parade. Then a specialist was brought in and began to show the kids diagrams of anatomy and pictures describing sexual oriented positions.

The kids were asked if they were confused about sex. Every child was confused. They were then told that was because they were gay and their parents didn't want them to know. After the session, the kids were told directly their parents were not to be trusted, and to never discuss these things with them. Only a specialist could talk to them about it.

This club went on for several weeks until a seven year old girl broke down in front of her parents and told them everything. They confronted the school but the school district defended the club and those involved.

Every student in that club were removed from the school by their families. The school district then reported all of the families to CPS, several of the children were removed from their parents for some time.

100% of the children in that club suffer from depression and PTSD years later. Some still won't talk to their parents about it.

This is the fucking bullshit some kids and their families are experiencing, and why in some cases there are such hostile feelings towards the movement.

It's the same world of course but JK Rowling wasn't in charge of coming up with the characters/plot. From what I understand, Avalanche were allowed to come up with their own characters and story but they had to run it by Rowling's team to basically just make sure it fit the worlds lore or whatever. I love the characters Rowling created and I don't think anyone could make them as interesting as she did.

As excited as I am for the game I am not sure about it being set 100 years before the books. It's set in 1890's and the first Harry Potter book is set in 1991/1992. I get it they probably wanted to completely set the game apart from Harry's time but I wish it was more modern. If we get a sequel I hope it's set between 1999-2015 so that it happens after Harry defeats Voldemort and before his first kid goes to Hogwarts.

This is the best news for PC. It means that at least SOME effort and thought was put into the PC version. Again, precompiling shaders should be mandatory for DX12 games on PC. This bodes well for the PC version in general.

50%-80% of the studies in the social sciences cannot be replicated and does not strictly follow the scientific method. There's a reason why within academia there is a clear demarcation line between the hard sciences such as biology, chemistry, physics, and the soft sciences like psychology, sociology, etc.

People are skeptical about the trans thing and the so called "studies" in the social sciences. Ignorant? Not at all. You brought up Sigmund Freud, the face of psychology. A man that came up with wild theories like Penis envy and the Oedepis Complex about sons wanting to have sex with their mothers and daughters wanting to have sex with their fathers. Gender is 100% a social construct, though. Do you see female dogs wearing skirts and making sandwiches for male dogs? No? Then it points to reason that the gender roles we created are not universally tied to animals’ respective reproductive organs.

Sure if you want to use ridiculous fantasy examples where dogs have to wear skirts instead of reality it doesn't happen in animals. Let's just ignore things like lionesses doing majority of the hunting but then allowing the male lions to eat first in exchange for them being the protectors or all the species where the females raise the young just as some of the many, many, many examples of the fact it is prelevant in animals of all types and not a unique human construct. If anything humans have done the opposite and eliminated gender roles in animals because in the wild you would be hard pressed to find species that don't have gender roles. Domesticated animals is where it starts to vanish.

Anyway, nice to see that this seems to be getting fairly reviewed for the most part. A game should be judged as the game it is and not as a political tool. Sadly if the pre-order numbers were not so high I'm not sure things would have been as fair. But knowing there are so many people buying the game likely gave journalists more courage to properly review it.

Why exactly is this game being compared to The Last of Us and AC Unity lighting when those had static light sources, where as this game has a day and night cycle? I know those are older titles, but it’s still an unfair comparison in my opinion. Unity is still incredibly impressive to this day though.
