Basically he says it's the best PC VR headset out there, with the best Visuals in VR period with a great FOV. But he notes that an 8 hour gaming section may take some effort to have it on your head that long without a break, and Audio being around Quest 2 level or so. But it's he seems to believe it's a strong recommend for PC headset users as the next big headset enthusiasts can get due to it's overall quality and best visuals in VR.

The controllers have capacitive finger tracking for every finger. even outside of the buttons.

Also this is the same Pimax that announced the were going to put aside funding to help devlopers use their store, and that they would have 100% revenue share going to the developers, meaning they basically won't take a cut, hoping that will attract many devlopers and improve quality, as they make money on software. Across ALL of their headsets that use their ecosystem.

I'm curious to see if that plan works. It's pretty aggressive.

There's a 9000 dollars headset which is even better (I don't remember the name). They are the most advanced VR headsets at the moment, and they will still be for a while. But they will never be something that influences VR diffusion, They are a niche of a niche, and nobody will ever develop games for their specs. They will remain a costly luxury for few passionate users. And they don't even solve the only real problem of VR.
The only VR headsets that will influence market will always be those which are within the threshold of a certain price/specs trade-off. To win the market (and there are different targets to be won), the ability is in the best trade-off, not in the extreme limit of present avaliable tech.

Pimax has multiple headsets all connected (most) to their ecosystem.

This is why I am curious if there plan to fund game exclusives and to invite devs aggressively giving them 100% of revenue with no cuts will work. They can downscale and upscale with their flexible tools, and it "should" work across all their devices, and since there's no cuts being taken out all the revenue foes tot he dev.

Then for other devs, they will help fund.

It's the most aggressive strategy yet in VR. https://www.neogaf.com/threads/pima...venue-share-100k-game-fund-incentive.1653924/

Spoiler alert, LOLNO. 100% of nothing is still nothing. Nobody with a half functioning brain's going to put a credit card number anywhere near a Pimax store, not just because they're verifiable shysters or a CCP tentacle, but because their store is more likely to disappear overnight than actually serve you the games you pay them money for. This is the company that ran their Kickstarter on a half dozen stretch goals they failed to deliver every single one of, and persuaded their backers to downgrade models in exchange for a $100 credit that was completely valueless and quite literally unspendable. Their headsets are straight up dogshit with terrible distortion and tiny sweet spots due to their shitty lenses and limited points of adjustments, uncomfortable as fuck due to their ridiculous size and shape, and their software is basically a glitchy ass rootkit. You'd be better off burning $1600 than buying anything from Pimax.

P.S. This guy you've posted was literally Pimax's Marketing Director a few years ago, as in seriously a paid and titled Pimax employee. That is not a hyperbolic accusation of "paid Youtube shill", the man was actually directly employed by Pimax as an English Market Marketing Director.

The people who keep praising these headsets, and the upcoming Portal are, as well as their audience also interested.

Pimax did a good job burying the voucher thing, few remember it and many never heard of it.

Now whether they are serious or not we will have to see. If the 100% revenue give to devs is real, we will know by devs. If we hear nothing despite such good deal, even a port would basically be free to put on a free money (somewhat) then that means there's likely some shenanigans.
