Can't wait for PS4 and Xbox One to come out and end the smartphone fad!

Next year hopefully stops the rot; Xbox One is going to drive hardware prices downward and the release schedule is at least a bit better.

LTD Ratio: 1.26 (5 PS4 to every 4 XB1 software units)

For comparison, the October 2014 ratio was 1.43 (7 PS4 units for every 5 XB1 units)

Hopefully Chart-Track will give us some reference so that we can have an estimation for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

You wouldn't happen to get any UK digital revenues or unit info, jvm?

We got a tidbit in the last NPD prediction thread about the transition to digital on the new platforms, with as much as 30%+ of new title sales on the new platforms (I assume meaning PS4 and XBO) being digital.

Considering these two account for almost 40% of retail units, if similar splits held in the UK as the US the impact could be very large.

Charts are late. Can only assume a retailer has been late kicking their data in and Activision AND UKIE will want the largest number possible for the benefit of good PR for both the COD brand and the value of the UK market.

The UK games retail charts will not be available until this afternoon, MCV can reveal.

However, in an email sent to subscribers and obtained by MCV, GfK Chart-Trak says the figures have been delayed due to an issue with data supply from ‘two major retailers’.

Update: Chart-Track are now waiting on one retailer, and are confident they will get that information in an hour. UKIE says the figures should be available for the public 'within a few hours'.

I know people wanted some grand conspiracy theory, but this happens from time to time with the UK chart. GFK data for mainland Europe doesn't circulate until midweek which gives them more time to collate. Unfortunately it happened on the week of a major release, which everybody is keen to see the results of. I'm sure the various day zero editions aren't helping the confusion.

I wonder if the game has done more than $600 million. I have a sneaking suspicion that AW has only (yeah, only) shipped around 10 million in sales so far.

That would be a first, since they never wait for full chart data, they always release something a day or two after COD launches.

The retail sales data would be available for them by that point though. If a large retailer has had an issue in reporting that as well, then they won't have it available.

I'm not saying that is the case though, I think this will be a disappointment. Well, disappointment COD wise. Ghosts was down and the actual quality of the game wasn't there, so that could affect the pre-release hype of the new game.

EDIT: Wait, shit, have they done PR for any region? I thought we were specifically talking UK/Europe and I've just realised I haven't heard from them about the US either. Maybe it is a disappointment.

Yeah, I was talking about the world, not just UK/Europe. Activision usually say how much COD made worldwide in 24 hours, 5 days, a week, two weeks etc. Not this time though.
