Metroid fans getting angry that what everybody knew was going to happen with that fan game is actually happening with that fan game.

I think the bigger points are

A) The genie is already out of the bottle and can never be put back in. If I want to look for this in 6 months time, I'll probably be able to do so pretty easily.

B) This game has been in dev for like 7+ years. I don't believe for a second Nintendo (or rather their lawyers who respond to this kind of stuff) found out about it only yesterday.

Like it sucks and you can't really defend it (aside from its "legal" and Nintendo "has the right") but considering it doesn't matter, I can't be bothered to get upset? I love me some Samus/Metroid but the fanbase has to be the among the most whiny online. If the game got shut down before completion that's one thing but since its complete.......who cares? I'm not even sure this stops any future bug fixes that might come down the line.

I love me some Samus/Metroid but the fanbase has to be the among the most whiny online.

This is exactly how I feel.

For me, Samus is arguably my favorite game character ever, and Super Metroid and the Primes are some of my favorite games ever. Zero Mission is damn close too. I just can't get with the need to read literally everything Nintendo does until they put out an HD 2D Metroid game as a personal insult to myself and my family.
