I, for one, am shocked that you're in favor of this.
SHOCKED.
I've always made it clear that I don't give a shit about buying used games, because I don't buy them. My main concern was friends and family being able to borrow and play my games. Sounds like Xbox One supports that just fine.
Why would I be mad? I also don't give a shit about a 24 hour internet check. I have had solid internet providers that have been close to 100% reliable for well over 10 years straight, only ever losing access to the internet in those rare cases where there are widespread power outages, which are also rare. I wouldn't be able to play my console during a power outage anyway, and Xbox Live has been pretty reliable since I've had a 360. There have only been those rare moments where for a few hours you couldn't actually access live, but guess what? With people still being able to play offline for up to 24 hours, even if xbox live goes down, so long as it isn't down for an entire 24 hours, you're protected and can still play all your games. It seems reasonable to me, but you can disagree, that's fine.
My idea of the used games market is giving away games I no longer want. I don't go to Gamestops to trade them in and get cash for them. Games I no longer want either collect dust, or go to family and friends that want them. Literally up to 10 family (friends AND family) members can access and play any of the games that I've shared on my live account. That easily solves my biggest concern about the Xbox One. It was an issue I was prepared to deal with and accept because I wanted Xbox One for the games, but it's even sweeter that I no longer have to worry about a complete blocking of allowing friends or family to play my games. You don't have to like or accept my opinion, but I'm not conforming to anyone else's line of thinking but my own. You make your decisions about what you want to spend your money on, and I'll make my own decision, thank you very much.
See, because I actually plan on buying this thing, and have always planned on giving it a fair shot, I'm genuinely thinking about what all these policies mean FOR ME, and trying to understand them as best I can. However, for a lot of other people, there just seems to be a desire to troll as much as possible. There are people spouting nonsense in this thread that the information on that website clearly debunks. It showcases that they either haven't read it properly, or simply don't give a shit. That's not my problem.
