But never underestimate Microsoft and their ability to dish out $$$$ to secure TIME EXCLUSIVES to some of these games, RE5, RR6 being strong candidates.

RR6 should be sweet though, and it'll be intresting to see how long its exclusive for. It better be online to.

The ps3 doesn't need exclusives in jpn. All it needs is for the competition to NOT have exclusives. That said, Im betting that the MGS series, FF, DQ, Tekken, GTA... will still be kept exclusive to the ps3.

Jesus...the trolling and general defensiveness is pretty stupid in here. X360 is getting Japanese support that the X1 couldn't even dream of...how what's been announced just now means nothing or is considered nothing special is pretty mind-blowing... Lots and lots of people were going to get this system even without what was just newly revealed...this new stuff helps to strengthen the support behind the system for those and helps to push others on the fence over. It's totally positive for X360. That RR6 and some others haven't been mentioned for PS3 seems pretty interesting to me. Of course, many titles that have been much-talked about for the PS3 haven't been slapped w/ an official stance of exclusivity, either.

For now, things are going well for MS and X360 and to say otherwise is pretty damned suspicious, IMO.

You can say games like WE wont make people buy 360s, but what you have to remember is that now they wont make people buy PS3s either.

I'll give you GT5, but GTA has not been announced as exclusive and as far as I know neither was DMC4. Considering Capcom has come out and said they are focusing on multiplatform you can't automatically count DMC

Since PS3 won't be out till march at the earliest X360 will have RR6 all to itself for months.

Hopefully Namco doesn't pull a Capcom and announce the PS3 version w/ extras just before the X360 release, therefore sabotaging potential X360 sales.

It is pass/fail. Either you land exclusives or you don't. Getting ports/multiplatform IP for your console has absolutely no effect on future exclusivity.

That's a moronic statement if I ever heard one. If I was a HUGE fan of those titles and they WERE exclusives for the PS3 than no doubt I wouldn't think twice about getting a PS3 and not even look in the 360's direction. But now that they are announced for the 360, I might consider it especially if it had some other games I liked the PS3 didn't get. THAT is how almost ALL gamers look at things man.

I think the biggest point is xbox 360 is getting a large variety of games, even if they're all not big hitting games, they're getting very solid 3rd party support. Xbox never get any of those games. Don't underestimate Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey as well, esp. Blue Dragon could be huge (if good).
